Is it Christmas already???
I sure feel like it! Looky what I got today... I feel very spoiled! I think I am finally in the 21st scrapbooking century! LOL Too bad I had to loan out my Cuttlebug and now have to wait before I can try these out! My mother always said, "Neither a lender, nor a borrower be." Funny though, she never actually stuck to that rule and I guess I don't either - I really am my mother's daughter... LOL. Yeah, I tell myself I am not my mother, then I look in the mirror and there she is!!! When did that happen??? (((Miss you mom.)))

Simple A2 Card Box
I saw this card box on someone's blog yesterday and had to try it out. But I didn't get a chance to decorate and finish it until just now. Just keeping my fingers crossed for an even greater selection of sizes/styles of White ones.
This box fits standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" sized cards.

Monday = craft day @ BFFs...
Sorry I didn't get this posted last night. I ended up buying the new Indiana Jones DVD and watched it with my family.
Finally, we got back to crafting day at my BFFs. We call it craft day, because sometimes the others scrapbook and sometimes they quilt. I just play with my papers and inks. This is what I made yesterday. I have two other cards that I started and couldn't complete because I forgot to pack some stuff. Oh well... TFL
I thought the look of this B&T would work well with the Toile stamp set. It's not exactly what I had in mind, but it turned out okay...

Fall Favourites (1 pg LO)
Some of you may recognize this LO. It is my version of the 8 1/2 x 11 one on the cover of Scrapbooks ect. October 2008 edition. It was my favourite LO in the whole book and I knew I had to 're-do' it for myself and convert it to 12x12. I had to wait for Cole to get home from school this afternoon so I could 'quiz' him on his fall favourites, just so I could do the journaling... nothing like having a scrappin' addict for a mother! I know you all can relate... our poor children... LOL.

Magazine File Card Holder
This design is totally lifted from Amy Keller's blog (a CTMH sistah). Amy, you are very talented! Go check hers out, as she did cards to match and the whole set is awesome!
Edited to add: A while after I posted my post, Amy posted her simpler (than mine) instructions on her blog. You can find Amy's instructions to create her Magazine File Card Holder here.
There was no template for the holder at the time I made mine, so I created this as I went. I filled it with 8 miscellaneous 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" cards and envelopes. (Might have to do a matching set to go with this.) I'm not sure how Amy did hers. I'm sure there is probably a better way than the way I did it... LOL. Anyways, I hope you like it as much as I like hers!

Odds 'n' ends...
Here's a real hodgepodge of things to post today. I did the cards this morning, but the little Frankenstein goodie box was done awhile ago. Instructions for it are found here: http://chicnscratch.typepad.comstampinacademy/2008/09/frankenstein-bo.html

This one is a lift from one I saw on the Creating Keepsakes website this morning at 3:30 AM, when I couldn't sleep. Something about it just appealed to me, so I had to recreate it (after I finally went back to bed and slept a little longer).
What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Everlasting B&Ts and Evensong B&T
Desert Sand C/S
CTMH Twill ribbon
Cranberry brads
Definitely Decorative Pines (SU)
Many Merry Messages (SU)
Pop dots (other)
Black, New England Ivy and Chocolate inks

This one I started by using a 1" circle punch for a mask for the moon, and onto a 4 x 5 1/4" piece of White Daisy C/S I brayered on Crystal Blue ink. I took off the mask, then I stamped on the trees and then the moose in Black ink. I tore a piece of scrap cardstock and masked off the sky and sponged on the Black ink for the ground. Then I took a different sponge and sponged on Star Spangled Blue ink, leaving the lighter shade of Crystal Blue showing more around the moon. Lastly, I took a white gel pen and tried my best to highlight where the moonlight would shine.
What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Black and White Daisy C/S
Black, Crystal Blue and Star Spangled Blue inks
1" circle punch (other)
Definitely Decorative Pines (SU)
Uniball Signo White Gel Pen (SU)
Sponges (other)

Isn't he CUTE? And he is sooooo easy to make. Just click on the link above... you'll be able see a video tutorial on how to make him.
What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Olive, Black and White Daisy C/S
Black marker
1" and 3/4" circle punches (other)
Unibal Signo White Gel Pen (SU)
Scissors (to hand-cut the hair)
Hole punch (other)
Black pipe cleaner (other)
Pop-dots (other)
Sponge (other)

Jessica and Jocelyn's Birthday cards...
Can you believe that I am a Mom to two 19 year olds? Neither can I! I am NOT that old, I am not... (as I pluck out the grey hairs!) LOL Anyways, they are away at college and all is going well. (Thank goodness!) They had their birthday on Sept. 28th and I sent their gifties with these cards along with their paternal Grandparents, who are leaving either tomorrow or Wednesday to go visit them for Thanksgiving. For those of you who don't know, my daughters are both visually impaired, so I wanted to make them cards that they can feel. I found these cute big brads with the dresses and words on them and thought these would make cute cards for them. Jessica's card is the darker pink/orange one and Jocelyn's is the more pastel purple/pink one. Happy belated, girls!
