A Couple of Cards Today: Boom-Di-Ada

I finally found some time to play this morning and created a couple of cards before I have to rush off for an appointment. I used the new CTMH Creative Basics Boom-Di-Ada papers on both of these cards. Hope you like them! :o)

Cowboy Wish birthday card

I was at Norma's today... she alternates between scrapbooking and quilting on Monday's at her house... and since I haven't been bit by the quilting bug yet, I scrapbooked while Lynette and Norma quilted. She has the cutest SU stamp set called Cowboy Kid that I had to borrow to use on this card because it went so well with my new Sarsaparilla papers. I paper pieced the little cowboy and I think it turned out really cute! Now who's going to have a birthday that I can use this for??? LOL :o)

Vancouver Aquarium

This layout is an oldie but a goodie... I made it around Christmas time and I couldn't believe the response I got from it when I posted it on the CTMH artwork boards, it was overwhelming! I've had a busy day today and haven't seemed to be finding much time to play lately, so I thought I would share this layout with those of you who haven't seen it yet. We went to Vancouver last summer and took Cole to the aquarium (amongst other places) while we were there. I used the CTMH Heart of Winter Serendipity paper pack and I loved how the blues looked together with the pictures.

ATC swap

I made this for an ATC (Artist Trading Card) swap I joined with some fellow CTMH Consultant sistahs. This is my first time doing one, so hopefully the recipients will like them. They are 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" in size. I used our new little Connections Club metal charms on them with my new paper tagger tool to attach them so they could dangle from the eyelet. :o)

My Boys layout

I saw this layout in the April CK magazine and although it was a digital layout, I had to do it my way... much less technical! I used the new CTMH Boom-Di-Ada paper line, which will be available May 1st. It's my fave from the Summer Idea Book, well that one and the Sarsaparilla line. The pic is from almost 3 summers ago at the annual Marvelous Mom's Babysitting Co-op's barbeque, that I used to belong to, held near my place at the Charlie Lake Provincial Campground.

You're Out Of This World card

We were in GP for the weekend and I picked up a Space Fun Cuttlekids die set from Michaels. I had an unopened mini stamp set with the saying 'You're out of this world', so I just HAD to pair the two together to create a card this afternoon. :o)

6 mo Layout

Lynnette came over this morning for a scrapbooking morning and of course coffee! Gotta have my coffee.... I pulled out some old pics of Cole and I had some leftover striped paper (that I had made for a previous layout) and decided to use it up. The layout design is from Reflections (CTMH) - Sidebar Quartet, so it went together pretty quickly, well as quickly as it can go with a lot of chit-chat in between. It's fun to look at these old pics of Cole. He was such a chubby little monkey!

Simple Beauty birthday card...

I decided to make another card today before Lee gets home from work. I saw a card on Splitcoaststampers.com like this, using the spotlight technique. I had to try it out myself with my Simple Beauty stamp set and my Paper Garden papers that I hadn't used yet. I like how it turned out, but then again, don't I always? Haha. As you will see over time, I rarely make cards for anyone in particular, more just because I enjoy doing it. (You should see my stash! Seriously!!) Have a great weekend! :o)

i wish...

I made this little 5x5" card this morning. It's cute, but it made me realize I don't have very many "boy" stamps! At least not CTMH ones... LOL

I added the pics today...

Some days are sooo busy, and this one was no exception! I left the house this morning before 9AM and got home a little while ago. I did get a chance to have my pics developed for this layout, though.

Cole had his Grade 1 vaccination needle that day (over a year ago now), and I have to say that I was surprised that he didn't cry this time! He just said, "ouch", and that was it. Anyways, it didn't slow him down at all.

100% Mischief Layout

I just finished this LO today and need to get the pics of Cole climbing all over Lee (his Dad) on it as soon as I get them developed. I like how it turned out and couldn't wait to share. I'll re-post for you when I get it completely done. ;o)

Acrylic Album

I joined a card club that meets approx. once/month and we are given an item to use as a challenge for a project to complete and bring to our next class. This time we were given the little white flower (with the pearl for the center) that I attached on the front of this acrylic album. The album itself is basically a lift from a class I did while away at a weekend crop this Spring. I used the same album (ordered one in at the LSS) and used the same cutting dimensions, so it went together pretty quickly. (Thanks Lynnette!) I used Ginger Blossoms papers from SU (bad me, LOL, love the stuff... can ya blame me?). I have picked out some Hawaii holiday pics from 2005 to use on it, although I'm debating if they really go...

There's 14 pics in total, so I won't bore you with all the details. Just a little teaser! Hahaha.

Dude Layout

I know for some of you, this is a repeat... I want to post this on here because it is one of my favourite LOs this year. It captures my 7 yo son's "tude" to a "T"! Lately everything is SWEET and everyone is DUDE, you get my drift... Anyways, I want it to be my first post on my new Blog. Hope you all like it.
