Double Pocket Card... and another birthday party!

Okay, I'm losing track of how many birthday parties that makes this month that my son has been invited to. There's another one this Saturday that he gets to go to. Of course he's pretty excited. So this time I decided that we will get a gift card for the gift and the birthday boy can pick his own present. Boring to open, I know, but fun to shop for what you really want! LOL I remembered seeing a cute double-pocket card designed for gift cards on Nona Davenport's blog, so that's what I made. The gift card will tuck in behind the tag in the second pocket. Very cool. You can watch Nona's video tutorial on how to make your own Double Pocket Card.

What I used (all CTMH):
Thoughtful Seasons stamp set
Good Times polka dot B&T
Good Times MyStickease
Chocolate and Sweet Leaf C/S
Chocolate ink
Chocolate bigger brad
Twill ribbon
Pop-dot

Teddy Bear baby card...

I am having a hard time with using the Argyle Backgrounds stamp set. Not sure if it's my color combos or what but they tend to look too busy. Then I saw a cute bunny card using this set, and I used her color combo. It looks nice together. My scallops are so big though, that they cover most of the pattern. TFL

Chocolate, Bamboo and Colonial White C/S

Playing catch-up on some 'older' cards...

These were made awhile back, but then I had the flu and didn't get around to posting. You all know how life gets busy! Anywho, these two cards were from a SU card club I was in. It was our last meeting for the club and I have to say that the step card is just too stinkin' cute to not post it!

I have some stamped images laying around from some awefully kind CTMHers. We swapped some, and some were given to me. I don't actually know who it was who sent me this Riley image, but he's just so cute. I used my Copics on him and made a quick card...

Countdown Until Christmas Calendar...

Isn't this the cutest? I totally lifted it from Amy Keller, a sister CTMHer. I can honestly say that hers is much better than mine, but I still like how mine turned out. This is my first time using my Bind-It-All and I definitely need some more practice working with it. But at least the 'first-time jitters' are out of the way and I can and will use it again. I've had my BIA since August and hadn't used it yet... so thanks Amy!

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
2 - 5x7" pieces of chipboard (from the LSS)
Creative Basics Evensong B&Ts
White Daisy, Cranberry and Olive C/S
New England Ivy, Cranberry and Olive inks
Olive grosgrain ribbon (to attach the front and back at the bottom, so it doesn't slide all the way open)
Chocolate Alphabet Small stamp set
December Word Puzzle stamp set
Tiny Typewriter Alphabet stamp set
Red and clear sparkles
Scallop circle Nestabilities
Scallop edge punch (SU)
Bind-It-All (Zutter)
BIA 1/2" silver coil (Zutter)

Magic Moments birthday card (using Thoughtful Seasons)

I can't take credit for this cute card. It is one that was created by CTMH for us lucky Consultants to re-create with our equally lucky workshop attendees. This one really caught my eye and I finally got around to making it. Cole has another birthday party to go to this Saturday, this time for a girl. So the birthday girl is going to get one, and I made a second one to keep for myself. The only change I made to the original design is that I added Prisma Glitter to the two pink hearts.

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Thoughtful Seasons stamp set
Magic Moments B&T (Colourful Dots)
Hollyhock and Colonial White C/S
Hollyhock and Cocoa inks
Hollyhock arrow and brad
Twill ribbon
Prisma Glitter
Glue pad (Tsuekeniko)
Scallop edge punch (SU)
Pop-dots (other)

I have an Award... from Laurel!

I was given this award by Laurel Seabrook... thanks, Laurel! Now that I know how to put it on my blog (I'm such a blogging dork! LOL), it was soooo easy; too easy actually. Maybe that's why I found it so difficult!? Haha. Anyways, I am supposed to pass this along to 6 people, so... let's seeeeee... it's really hard to only pick 6! And I don't really know the rules about wanting to give an award back to the person who awarded me (because I totally love Laurel's blog too!)???

My 6 picks (in no particular order): Amanda DesJardins, Sparkle Smith, Yvette West, Lisa Stenz, Kelly English-Triggs, and Hilary Kanwisher. Thanks for all the inspiration ladies! :o)

Shining Star birthday cards...

I saw a card on Christine David's blog that inspired me to do these cards. She used Shining Star with this style of card and it really grabbed my attention. Of course I had to do my own version.... LOL! Cole had a birthday party to go to this past Saturday for an 8 year old, so I had to whip up a card (during my Christmas Card Workshop, of course!) and the blue one is what I made. I had to recreate it yesterday with the pinks because I liked the boy version so much. I really like how they turned out and this is still one of my favourite card styles to make -- they're so fun! TFL

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Shining Star stamp set
Happy Birthday stamp set
Birthday Wishes stamps set
Game On B&T (stars and stripes)
Notebook B&T (pink with polka dots)
More to Adore B&T (pink stripe)
Black, Twilight, Colonial White, Desert Sand and Blush C/S
Black, Twilight, Desert Sand and Blush inks
1/2" and 1 1/4" circle punches (other)

Colonial White bigger brad

Christmas in a Box...

A very talented CTMH sistah created a Christmas in a Box. This is my version of her creation. I first have to say thank you to Lisa Stenz for sharing her Christmas in a Box (Memory Keeper) and her instructions to make the inside divider. Lisa, you're awesome! ;o)

I am doing a Christmas card workshop at my home this coming Saturday and will show my guests this cool little project. It will give them some ideas as to what they can do with their leftover B&T papers from the card workshop.

For the Pointsettia flower, I took some pink Big Pinks flowers and trimmed two of them to have pointed petals. I sponged ink onto one with Cranberry and the other with Garnet. I took another pink flower and cut 5 petals off, cutting to the center point of the flower and creating a point - the curved end is hidden under the main flower piece. I sponged New England Ivy ink on them and used them for the leaves. I took my left over pink flower remnant and used my 1/2" circle punch and punched out 3 circles. I sponged Honey ink onto those and pop-dotted them and used them in the center of my flower. I then covered them with Liquid Glass and then sprinked them with Prisma Glitter.
