Boy Birthday Card Boxed Set... (A2)

I was able to finish the cards for this set yesterday, but I had to quit before I could put the box together. My husband and I had plans to take our boy to the new Transformers movie last night, but even though we were there almost an hour early, it was already sold out. :( So today I plan on going down during the day and pre-buying our tickets.

Anyways, back to my project... lol This is using my latest template, which as you all know, I am not allowed to sell. But I had something come to mind this morning as to how to possibly not have to quit CTMH as a Consultant, yet still get my templates out to all of you enthusiastically wonderful peeps! I just need to check with Corp. Services to see if my idea is okay with the Policies in place, and then I'll let you all know. OK? :D

What I used:
Happy Birthday stamp set (CTMH)
Say It In Style stamp set (CTMH)
Brilliant "Boys Only" No Girls Allowed/Fresh Air, and Paisley Power/Brown Argyle papers (My Mind's Eye)

My newest boxed card set... (A2)

Well, I created this new template a week or so ago now. I have a set almost completed in the CTMH Bella papers, but I still have to make a couple of cards to go in it, because I got sidetracked on finishing that when I came across these adorable My Mind's Eye papers at the LSS yesterday and just had to buy them with this project in mind. I'm loving how this turned out. The template for this will eventually be added to my available templates when I'm able to sell them again. This one is like the Double Scraplings Cards and Gift Box set, but it fits the standard A2 sized cards. I made 4 cards to go inside (even though it would easily fit at least 2 more) mostly because I only bought two sheets of double-sided patterned papers, so I didn't have much scraps left to really create anymore than the 4 cards and still be able to decorate the outside of the box to match. The cards are: Birthday, Get Well, Congrats, and Thank You; making a nice little assortment. :)

What I used:
Happy Birthday stamp set (CTMH)
Say It In Style stamp set (CTMH)
Enchanting Sisters Blue Without You/Crazy Daisy, Blooming Gorgeous/Pink Fancy Paper (My Mind's Eye)
Enchanting Sisters Mini Die-Cut flower (My Mind's Eye)
White Daisy CS (CTMH)
3" scallop circle punch (Marvy Uchida)
White Daisy brads and bigger brads (CTMH)
White Daisy grosgrain (CTMH)
Pop-dots (other)
Black ink (CTMH)

The school year is winding up... thank you cards and more gifty ideas

My son has two school bus drivers; one that takes him to school in the morning and one that brings him home after school. I wanted to make thank you cards for them and this is what I came up with.

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
School Fun stamp set (retired)
Tiny Typewriter Alphabet set
Grade School patterned papers (DCWV)
White Daisy CS
Real Red CS (SU)
Tuxedo Black ink (Momento)
Black ink
Copics
Paper flowers (Prima)
Blue polka dot brads (other)
Green grosgrain (Walmart)
Pop-dots (other)

I saw these cute little pencil holders here on Laurie's blog. I thought I'd make one up for my son's teacher... but they are so easy to make, that I had to make 2!

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Grade School patterned papers (DCWV)
White Daisy CS
Real Red CS (SU)
Scallop edge punch (SU)
Red polka dot grosgrain and green grosgrain ribbons(Walmart)
1 1/8" cirlce punch (EK Success)
Pop-dots (other)
Pencils

Better late than never...

These were given on time, but I'm late to post pictures on here. I CASEd these cards from K. Aaron Brown. I loved the simplicity and how quick they were to make. My son had made a card for his Dad at school. He brought it home and "hid" it in his room, only to not remember where he put it. Boy, was he upset with himself! (He still hasn't found it.) So I quickly had to make up a card for him to give his Dad, and I remembered seeing a card similar to these on K. Aaron Brown's blog a while back. Then my husband decided to take a last minute trip to visit his Dad on Father's Day, so I quickly made up another one for him, just changing the colors.

What I used (all CTMH):
Tee Time stamp set
Say It In Style stamp set
Aryle Backgrounds stamp set (on lower card)
White Daisy, Star Spangled Blue and Clover Meadow CS (on upper card)
Black, Bamboo, Star Spangled Blue and Clover Meadow inks (on upper card)
White Daisy, Twilight, and Garden Green CS (on lower card)
Black, Bamboo, Twilight and Garden Green inks (on lower card)
Silver Brads
Twill ribbon

Soccer Thank You Card and Gifty Box for the Coach

Soccer is quickly coming to a close, with my son's last game last night, and the tournament on Saturday. I had made the Coach a card, which I previously posted, but wanted to give her a little gifty, too. So I created a tall box and made the front jersey for it... now this is not my original idea. I saw a jersey on the front of a box a while back, done by the very talented Lauren Meader on her blog. Hers was amazing, right down to a real Whistle hanging from the neck of the jersey! Very cool... oh, and by the way, I did locate my Best Shot stamp set that I was searching for when making my card. I had loaned it out and just got it back about a week ago. :)

What I used for the box and jersey (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Sunny Yellow, White Daisy and Black CS
Black and Sunny Yellow inks
Circle Around stamp set
Tiny Typewriter Alphabet stamp set
Best Shot stamp set
Corner rounder
2" circle punch (Fiskars)
Coluzzle circle

It's a new day... and some happy news!

It's amazing what the difference a day can make. As soon as I change the way I view my troubles, my outlook changes too. That is something I see more and more as I get older. Aging is not necessarily a bad thing... it seems to come with so much more perspective on life. I've been able to let things go much quicker than in the past and I can feel the weight literally lift off my shoulders when I let go the stuff that is bothering me or the things I can't change in life, whatever they may be. So today is a new day, with new promise... :)

I do have happy news today... I took first place in the Best Use of Color category on the Scrapbook and Share contest. To see all the winning artwork in each category, you can go to the Scrapbook and Share website. So that's the happy news I had to share. Thanks to all of you who took the time to vote! :)

It's a sad, sad day for me...

I have been struggling since yesterday as to what to do. It came to my attention that I am not allowed to sell my own personal templates on my personal blog. Apparently it is against CTMH policy. So I have removed my templates from my blog.

I have been really struggling with what I want to do. Do I quit CTMH as a Consultant??? Or do I remove my templates??? For some people it might be an easy choice, for me it wasn't. My templates quickly became my passion...

What I have finally decided to do is to keep creating my templates, and I will most likely keep posting pictures of them on my blog, and then one day, when I am no longer a Consultant, I will then be free to post my templates. So please be patient with me. I am not ready to quit as a Consultant. CTMH really is an awesome company and I understand that they have policies in place for a reason, as do all of the companies I have ever worked for.

I am hoping that with all my policy clarification questions to them yesterday, that maybe they will do some more updates with the Policy Manual, because there is just too much grey area and not enough clear information, especially when it comes to personal blogs and what is allowed and what is not allowed. I know that I am not the only Consultant who was unclear on these policies. Oops. Now I know I made a boo-boo and I've made the required changes.

But for now, I am sad...

A more masculine treat box for father's day!

I love the metal look... can it get any more masculine than that? Especially when you add screw-head brads to complete the look! Here's another Treat Box done up for Father's Day.

Treat Box (my new template)

Here's a sample of my latest and greatest! I created the template for this little 6x3.5x2.5" goodie bag yesterday and I'm loving it!

Since Dad's day is coming up next weekend, I thought this would be a good opportunity to make something for Dad (that would be my husband), to go along with his gift, which I'll post possibly later today.

I have a bunch of cellophane bags I purchased from CTMH a very long time ago (and I don't even know if they are still available anymore), but I do know that they are still available through SU, because I've seen them in their catalog.

I filled the cellophane bag with chocolate covered coffee beans I picked up while on vacation in Hawaii at the beginning of the year.

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
World's Best Dad stamp set
Aspen B&T
Outdoor Denim and White Daisy CS
Acetate sheet
Cellophane bag
Twilight ink
Outdoor Denim grosgrain
Screw-head brads (other)
1 1/4" circle punch (EK Success)
Key Tag punch (SU)
Circle Coluzzle
Velcro dot (other)
Pop-dots (other)
And chocolate covered coffee beans

Scrapbook and Share... please vote...

I'm rather shocked, to say the least... I entered a few different layouts on the CTMH Scrapbook and Share website, and this layout of mine made the top 5 in the Best Use of Color category. People can vote for their favourite layout in 5 different categories. Please stop by at Scrapbook and Share and if you like my layout, please vote for me. :)
Voting is open until midnight on Sunday, June 14th.

Envelope Template added (for the Double Scraplings)

Well, I just had to do it! I had to make an envelope template for my little Double Scraplings cards. This template is being added to the Double Scraplings Cards & Gift Box templates I have.

For everyone who had previously purchased my Double Scraplings Cards & Gift Box templates (before I found out that I couldn't sell my templates), please just email me at vwizniuk@pris.ca and I will be happy to forward the envelope template on to you. :)

Wedding set...

Yes, I know... ANOTHER one... :) I've been just so busy with this whole double scraplings template thingy, but it is time to move on to my next template design (which is still in my head), or at least mix it up with a layout or something! But I have this one more set to share.

Wouldn't this just make the cutest little wedding shower gift!? Again using my Double Scraplings Cards & Gift Box templates, I created this quaint card set: just done in black and white with a pop of color! I kept the cards as flat as possible by not using pop-dots, and I was easily able to fit 8 cards in the box. I could've fit 2 more, for sure. I think this would be perfect for bridal shower thank you notes and the thing I love about black and white is that you can totally add whatever the wedding color is to make it more personalized for the recipient.

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Amore Alphabet Lowercase stamp set (I believe this one is retired)
Thank You stamp set
Black Brocade Wedding double sided paper (Making Memories)
White Daisy, Black and Watermelon CS
Black and Watermelon inks
Pink velvet ribbon (Michaels)
CC Metal Charms – love
CC Rhinestone Frames
Rhinestones (Me and My Big Ideas)
1 1/8”, 1 ¼”, 1 ½” circle punches (EK Success)
Scallop circle punch (SU)
Scallop edge punch (SU)
Pop-dots under the scallop circle (other)

I just can't get enough, I just can't get enough... (yes, this song is going through my head)

Can you tell I'm addicted... both to 80s music and to the little Double Scraplings Cards & Gift Boxes? I just had to make some more of these little darlings. Hopefully you're not all getting too bored with seeing the same stuff over and over again.

I just find these to be so versatile. They make great gifts for teachers, baby showers filled with thank-you cards, birthdays, friendship cards, Valentine's... the list seems endless!

What I used for this set (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Safari Kids 8x8 stack (DCWV)
Wild Wasabi cardstock (SU)
White Daisy and Outdoor Denim cardstock
Life's A Jungle stamp set
Outdoor Denim ink
1 1/2" cirlce punch (EK Success)
Scallop Edge punch (SU)
Light Blue grosgrain (Walmart)
Pop-dots (other)

This set I made for my son's teacher. Her first name starts with A, and I've never done anything with Monograms on it, so I'm hoping that this is okay to use the initial of her first name rather than her last name. I fell in love with this paper and knew it would look so pretty all done up this way. Hopefully she likes it... I don't get the feeling that she's a pink girl, but you never know...

What I used to make this set (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Homestead Alphabet stamp set
Sweetie Pie Squeeze paper (Bo Bunny)
White Daisy CS
Black ink
Versamark ink
Clear embossing powder
Black and Garden Green brads
1 1/2" circle punch (EK Success)
Scallop circle punch (SU)
Green silky ribbon (Walmart)
CC metal charm
Silver jump ring (other)

Baby shower gift (boxed set of thank you's)

Here's a project I started a while ago and just found the time this morning to finish. It's using my Double Scraplings idea for the thank you cards, and I created the little box to house them in. I've seen these boxes before and thought they're just so cute, but I had to create my own cutting guide to house my double scraplings. I have intentions of giving these to my friend who's having a baby boy in August, but knowing me, I'll make something else... lol

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Childhood stamp set
Say It In Style stamp set
Animal Cookies B&Ts
White Daisy and Dutch Blue CS
Black, Dutch Blue and Tulip inks
White Daisy ricrac

Soccer card for Coach

This is a re-make of a card I did last year (done in team-color green), in which I CASEd the design from fellow CTMH Consultant, Heather Girard. To make my life somewhat easy, I mostly copied the design from my last card, and just changed the (team) color to yellow... but do you think I could find my soccer stamp set I used last year??? I must have loaned it out, because it is nowhere to be found. (Mom always said, "never a lender nor a borrower be...") I can't remember who I would have loaned it to, though. Luckily I had a few stamped images left over (and stored) from my green card, so I was able to make it work. I had to add a jersey because I could only find two stamped images. My son's jersey # is 16, so I added his number to personalize the card from him to his coach.

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Best Shot stamp set
Sports Jersey's stamp set (retired)
Thank You stamp set
Argyle Backgrounds stamp set
Star Struck stamp set
Game On B&Ts
Sunny Yellow, Bamboo, White Daisy and Colonial White CS
Sunny Yello, Sunflower, Bamboo and Black inks
