Love Blossoms Card

I used the CTMH Love Blossoms stamp along with the retired Sending Smiles stamp set.

The Love Blossoms set is still available until the end of March, if I remember correctly.  ;)

And I just happen to have an extra NEW set available for purchase.
(I ordered the second one by mistake.  Oops!)

This is what the Love Blossoms (double) set looks like:

Thinking Of You - Chelsea Gardens Cardmaking

I tend to like most of what I create, but every once in a while I really love something.

This is one of those times.  ;)

It is really stunning in person.  My photos don't really capture the depth of colour...

How I created my card:

I used the little Delicate Flower stamp on the background embossing it with White embossing powder.

Then I used three different blue inks to sponge and blend over top of the entire background piece.  (Glacier, Lagoon, and Peacock.)

The flowers and fauna are from the Chelsea Gardens Cardmaking stamp set - still my fave from this Seasonal Expressions catalog.

I used my watercolour brush with Canary and Goldrush inks for the flowers, and Raspberry for the centers.  I added a little extra colour the Raspberry, with my Cherry Pink ShinHan marker.

And the leaves are waterbrushed with Fern ink.

The sentiment is from the little Thinking Of You stamp.  I love these little M-sized sets.  :)

The gems I added are Bitty Sparkles and Clear Sparkles, and from Red Gems.

And the last step I did was to add some shimmer to the flowers with my Clear Shimmer Brush.

Did you know that these Shimmer Brushes come in Gold and Bashful pink, too?  AND that you can easily create your own colour by adding a drop or two of re-inker to a Clear Shimmer Brush?

I always have Sparkles in my stash.  Did you know that you can easily colour them with ShinHan markers to create different colours to match with your projects???  Definitely a must-have in your stash, too!

Happy creating!  :)

Dreamin' Big - Thinking of You

Have you checked out the fun new CTMH Dreamin' Big paper packet?

It has matching stamps, too.  And I used one of them on this card, called Dreamin' Big - Cardmaking, which also has matching Thin Cuts dies to go with it.

Although the photo doesn't really show it, I used the Shimmer Brush on the butterfly, and it is very shimmery.  I use that shtuff on everything!!!  LOL

(Note:  This card will also be included in my upcoming Card Buffet on January 29th.)

Happy creating!  :)

Thoughtful Flowers Thinking of You Card

If you are newish to my blog, you may not know yet how much I love making my own patterned papers with ink and stamps.

There is one particular image in the December Stamp of the Month set, Thoughtful Flowers, that was calling for me to create this background paper.

I simply randomly stamped the image using Black Memento Ink, and then used my waterbrush and Crystal Blue ink to paint the areas around the flowers.  Gives it a soft watercolour effect.

The darker flowers on the sentiment piece were also painted using a waterbrush, but then I also used a blender pen to bring in the darker shade of the same ink to add a little colour variation and shading.

Love the look, so pretty.

Happy creating!  :)

Thinking of You Fancy Fold Card

I saw a Fancy Fold Flip Card on Pinterest done by Paula Knall and watched her how-to video to make one myself.

Kind of fun, hey?

~~~~~~~
On a side note, my sister has recently come up with a fundraising idea for her church, where she is going to sell cards and donate all the money she raises.
So I donated 5 shoebox containers stuffed full of past cards I have made.
(Boy, that made her happy!  She can get started on it right away.)
And in doing this, it has reignited my passion for card making.  Over the past couple of years, I had started making cards more so for what I needed instead of whatever I felt like, mostly because I was getting such a huge pile of cards that I didn't know what to do with.
So win, win!
I am now creating a lot more again, and this time the majority of what I make, I will to donate to her cause.  :)
Happy creating!  :)
The "little", that I take care of, took a 2 hour nap yesterday.
I colored in the flowers with a Copic marker and added the white details with a gel pen.
Thinking of You card... from RSd scrap
I used one of the larger scrap pieces from my random stamped cardstock (from last week) to make this card.
The acorn was already cut out and left over from last week's project, as well as the Sunset leafy branch, so it went together really quickly.
I kind of threw it together, so I hope you like it.  ;)
Until next time, happy creating!  :)
You Are In My Thoughts... (H2H Challenge)
I am honoured to be invited as a Guest DT member in January at the Heart 2 Heart Challenge Blog!
This week is a color challenge -- Pear, Sky & Colonial White (and you even have the option to add a splash of Sorbet if you wish).
I created my background by stamping with the stamp set from the Wings Workshop On the Go kit and Sky ink onto Sky cardstock.
My focal image is all from a new set called Rosy Regards.  I added Prisma Glitter onto each flower, and pop-dotted the one for added dimension.  (Click on the picture to get a better look...)
Please join us this week!
And Happy Creating!  :)
I have the perfect person in mind for this card... the ever sweet & fabulous Katie Renz, who I had "met" on the CTMH Consultant Bulletin Boards when she was a CTMH Consultant.  Please visit her blog and send her some love as she faces her battle with cancer.
It will be going out in the mail hopefully today.  :)
If you wish to do so, (and with her permission to share her mailing address with you) you can send Katie a card, too:
