Grade 11 Layout

I used CTMH Rustic Home and Memo Fundamentals papers and My Boy Complements on this layout.

I kinda wish CTMH still had these True Fit Folios.

I love that I can tuck his report cards and such into the folder for each grade.

It is hard to believe he only has one more school photograph for me to scrapbook for his school album (next Fall).

Well, that one and his grad photo!

And then it will be completed.

They grow up too fast.

Happy creating!  :)

NPSS Layout

I worked on Cole's grade 11 layout that I will share next time, and then I made this layout for the school he is currently in.

It works like a divider in the album between the grades when he changed schools.

I used all retired papers on this one:  Fundamentals, Swan Lake, and La Vie En Rose.

Happy creating!  :)

Energetic Learning Campus

I am back with the (first) high school page.

Here in Fort St. John, there are too many kids to fit into the main school, so about 3-4 years ago they opened a second campus for approximately 200 grade 10 students to help with the overflow from the main high school.  All I can say is it is an awesome school!  Next year he will be at the main high school for his grade 11 and 12 years.

So once he is there, I will need to create a page for that school.  ;)

Then after he is done grades 11 & 12, I will make those last two folio pages, and then I am planning to wrap the album(s) up with a grad photo page, too.

But for now, this is his first high school page.

I just need to snap a photo of the school for my layout, which is actually part of the Pomeroy Sports Centre (the school portion is located within the left side of the building in this picture), so they have access to an indoor running track, two hockey rinks, a skating oval, and the soccer pitch next door (along with other cool options) for their hour of exercise every morning before the school day starts.  Pretty cool.

Happy creating!  :)

Bert Bowes Middle School

Ok, so I shared all the folio layouts I did for Cole's school years to date.

I like to include a picture of his school, kind of like a cover page, but more so to separate the years into which schools he has attended.

I have done one for his elementary school (Charlie Lake Elementary), that I shared years back.

This one is from his middle school years, grades 7-9.

Next time I will share his high school page.

Happy creating!  :)

Grade 5, 6 & 7 Folios

I got a full day to create on holiday Monday (BC Family Day) when a bunch of friends came over to my place to have a crafty day.

I pulled out Cole's grade 7, 8, 9 and 10 school photos and started playing catch up with the retired True Fit Folios that CTMH used to sell.  (I had previously prepped a bunch to get me through to his graduation).

Today I was just going to share his Grade 7 page, but then I realized that I hadn't shared his Grade 5 or Grade 6 folios yet, like I thought I had.  So I will quickly share those first...

I used retired CTMH Lucky papers on this his Grade 5 layout.

And I used retired CTMH Victory papers on his Grade 6 layout...

Now for my most recent one, this is his Grade 7 folio page.

I used retired CTMH ProPlayer papers and ProPlayer My Stickease on this one.

These folios are great because I can tuck all of his report cards inside along with any other papers I want to keep.

You can see all the other folios I did for his album from Kindergarten through to Grade 4 HERE,

as well as the school page layout I made for the beginning of his elementary school album.

I will share the Grade 8 folio next time...

Happy creating!  :)

Elementary School Layout

I'm slowly working on my son's elementary school album.

I needed a one page layout for the beginning of the album, so I created this page for it.

Now I just need to take a photo of the front of the school, preferrably once the snow has melted.  So in a couple of months...  ?  ;)

I have to keep working on finishing up layouts for the past couple of years (Gr. 5 & 6).

You can see the pocket page layouts I've already created for his school album using True Fit Folios HERE.

This is his last year in elementary school, as he's in Grade 6, so he will be at the Junior High in September.  Yikes!

Happy creating!  :)

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Paper:  Victory B&Ts; Olive, Colonial White, Grey Wool CS
Stamp:  Trinity Alphabet
Ink:  Chocolate

Grade 4... True Fit Folio Pocket LO

This is my continuation of an on-going project.  My son is in Grade 4 this year.  I've been working on creating these pocket pages for him that will hold all his report cards and important papers for the corresponding school year.  At the end of the school year I will create a second page to feature the highlights of his Grade 4 year; the things he accomplished, new things he got to do, fun stuff, ect.

I went ahead and prepared all the circles stamped with the stars and the word "Grade" on them for all the years to come.  Hopefully he doesn't ever have to repeat a grade...  lol    I also cut the corners off of all the sides of the True Fit Folios and corner rounded the edges, so they're all ready to go.  That will make them  quicker to make in the future.  They are all set aside in their own layout container, which I will compile all the layouts until it he's finished school, and then eventually I'll put them into an album when he graduates.

So far it's been a fun project!

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):  Tiny Typewriter Alphabet, Classmate Alphabet, Chocolate Alphabet Small, Believe In Your Dreams, Circle Around stamp sets; You Rock B&Ts; White Daisy, Olive CS; Grey Wool, Black, Olive, Goldrush inks; Outdoor Denim, Sunflower brads; Pewter eyelets; True Fit Folio; DE Simple Numbers; Binding Edge punch (EK Success); 2" circle punch (Fiskars); Circle Coluzzle.

More school grade layouts using True Fit Folios... and more water, too!

Well, slowly, ever so slowly, I'm catching up on my to-do list of things I want to do. I made these on Monday crafting day at my BFFs (been just too busy to post until now) and now I just need to find some pictures of my son for each of these school years and create the second pages to go with these layouts, pinpointing the highlights of each year. Just like I had done for his Grade 3 LO I previously posted. These pages will store the important papers/artwork/report cards for his school year.

Yesterday, before I was going to post these pics, my son pointed out that I made a boo-boo. I stamped the wrong teacher for the Grades 1 and 2 LOs, so I had to somehow fix it and re-take the pics before posting.

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):

All LOs:
True Fit Folios
Classmate Alphabet stamp set
Circle Around stamp set
Chocolate Alphabet Small stamp set
Silver eyelets (attached using my Crop-A-Dile)
Tag punch (SU)
Large Circle Coluzzle
Black and Grey Wool inks
Black Journal pen

Grade K LO: Classic Alphabet Dimesional Elements; Days to Cherish B&T (long retired); Outdoor Denim, Tulip, White Daisy and Garden Green CS; Garden Green Brads

Grade 1 LO: Classic Numbers Dimensional Elements; B&Ts (by Scenic Route); Outdoor Denim and White Daisy CS; Cranberry Brads

Grade 2 LO: Classic Numbers Dimensional Elements; Stardust B&Ts; Topiary, Sunflower and White Daisy CS; Sunflower Brads

But before I could post my re-takes yesterday, I was interrupted with supper, soccer practice and soccer game, then when we came home after soccer, our basement was WET! Ugggh! The basement toilet was flushed before we left and the valve thingy didn't close properly due to the chain getting stuck in it somehow, and the water kept coming. We live out of town, and after our septic tank (which thankfully is attached to our local sewer system) filled, the clean toilet water started coming into the basement. We knew something was wrong when we got home and could smell the septic tank outside and I could hear the water pump running in the house, with no one at home and no reason for it to be running unless the water was running. We were gone for 2 1/2 hours and it had been running the whole time. Our cistern was almost empty of water and thankfully we got home when we did, because if we ran out of water it would have blown our water pump, too. So I got to take out our handy dandy shop vac and clean up the mess for an hour or so. It really could have been so much worse...

I'm so over water in the basement! When we bought our house 9 years ago, it was not disclosed that there were issues with water. Our house is built into a hill and there are natural spings all over the hills in this area, I assume they all are going down towards the lake. Since we moved in, we have re-landscaped the back yard to have the slope going away from the house, and put in 2 sump pumps (different years and different Spring-time floods) and it seems to have finally fixed the problem. I can't believe this house didn't have a sump pump! Anyways it's been a lot of work, along with the money to replace carpets, and such. I'm so over water in the basement!!!

So we are planning on building a home next year, which will be our first time building. We have decided to build up... no basement! Last night after cleaning up the latest wet mess, I suggested that we build a water house, basically a shed (outside and separate from our new house) that houses anything to do with water... toilets, showers, washer (and dryer)... but my husband didn't seem to like the idea. Go figure! lol :D

Grade 3... 12x12 pocket layout to hold school papers/art

I've seen quite a few folios done in this manner, but I liked how fellow CTMH Consultant Lisa Bzibziak used eyelets down the side of her True Fit Folios to make them into large pockets to hold special school papers/artwork for her son's LOs, so I incorporated that detail into mine. I used a pre-printed LO from the long retired Graduation Level 1 kit for the front, and added a piece of 4x12 argyle B&T from the kit for the inside/top part that shows. Now I have to say that using the True Fit Folios with Level 1 pages makes for a super easy project and I love how it turned out. And now I'm also regretting selling my Graduation Level 2 paper pack recently... I really do love these papers! Oh, well, life goes on... ;o)

I think I'll do another page to go with this one, including journaling about the highlights of this school year.

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Graduation Level 1 kit (retired)
True Fit Folios
Classmate Alpha stamp set
Chocolate Alphabet Small stamp set
Circle Around stamp set
Argyle Backgrounds stamp set
Black and Grey Wool inks
Black Journal pen
Silver gel pen (Staedtler)
Silver eyelets
DE Simple Numbers
Bamboo brads
Large Circle Coluzzle
Tab punch (SU)
