My niece is all grow'd up...

Debra (my sis), Stephanie (my beautiful niece), and me (the cry-baby) in Las Vegas for Stephanie and Brad's wedding.
The tattoo on Stephanie's arm is a picture of my Mom.  Steph was grandma's girl.

My niece is married, which is so hard to believe mostly because I still think of her as 4 years old.  She got a great guy, and he got a great girl.  Not a bad deal at all.  :)

I can't believe how much I cried that day!  (Well, actually I can.)  I cried more than the mom's of the bride and the groom.  I'm just so proud of my Sneffanie.  (not a typo, a little nickname)

See, there I go again...  sniff, sniff.

Stephanie & Brad cutting the cake.

The wedding cake.

Of course I have to include a picture of Lee (blue shirt) and Stephanie's dad, John (grey suit).

While in Vegas, I got to meet some amazing people... lol

Like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

And me and Captain Jack Sparrow.

And the Pres and me, oh yeah, I'm ready to tackle the job... of taking notes, that is.

And we saw some cool things...

Vegas is fun, but it's sure gotten a lot more expensive.  Although it's been 14 years since we were last there.  ;)

While there we got to go see Cirque du Soleil's KA.  It was so good.

I hope to be back at posting some artwork real soon.  Just need to find the time to create.

Take care and happy creating!  :)

Yes, I'm still around... :)

We still do not have internet at our new home yet. (I'm posting this from my BlackBerry.)  The joys of living out of town!  We finally just got our phone line hooked up after about 7 weeks of dealing with Telus... ugh!  And we finally got our old home listed to sell after replacing the collapsed septic tank.  Now we can focus on unpacking the new place and working on the driveway and a bunch of other exterior work that needs to get done.  Gosh, will it ever be done???  lol

Sorry for my absence and lack of posts.  I really can't wait to get into my new scrap room to play.  Thanks for your patience and for hanging in there with me.  I hope to be able to post some artwork soon. :)

While I'm away...

I won't be processing any card purchases from now until Tuesday, May 24th, after I get back from Vegas.

Enjoy your long weekend!  :)

I'm still here...

It's been very quiet here on my blog, I know.  We have moved into our new home and I've been too busy with all that's involved to even unpack my crafty things.

My niece is getting married later this week in Las Vegas, so Lee and I are leaving Wednesday to be there, and frankly it will be a nice break/vacay.

As soon as I get back I have to somehow whip up a project for a blog hop I joined a while ago.  What was I thinking?!  Well, I thought we would have been moved in a lot sooner and more settled than we are.  So I will have a new project to share, but not for a couple of weeks.

Thanks for hangin' in there with me!  :)

Mom's Purse Card Set... {H2H Challenge}... and we're finally moving!

The Heart 2 Heart Challenge Blog is celebrating Mom this week!

I created this pretty card purse for Mom (tho I don't have any Mom's anymore, so I guess it's for me???) for the challenge.  I followed Amy Celona's Stationery Box Pocketbook tutorial for the purse.

Here's some close-ups:

I also created an assortment of 5 cards to place inside the purse:

Birthday

Friendship

Sympathy

Thank You

Wedding (or Anniversary)

This is my last post for a little while, as we are finally moving into our new home tomorrow.  No internet or phone or satellite TV has been hooked up yet... yikes.  So I'll be coming back to our old house to work online for the next while.

Bliss 3x3 Thanks card

For this little 3x3 thank you card I used Bliss B&T paper and the Bliss WOTG kit stamp set (for the flower, bud & leaves images).  The thanks sentiment is from a stamp set called Heart to Heart.

I inked up the floral images in Grey Wool ink and stamped them off once onto scrap paper before stamping them onto the circle punched piece of White Daisy cardstock.  The softer image just seemed to work well with the B&T paper.

Happy creating!  :)

Paper:  Bliss B&T; White Daisy, Grey Wool, Sky CS
Stamps:  Bliss, Heart to Heart
Inks:  Grey Wool, Black
Embellishments:  Liquorice pearls, White grosgrain (Walmart)
Punches:  2" scallop circle, 1 3/4" circle (EK Success), Scallop trim border (SU)
Other:  3D foam tape
