Grade 6 Layout

Another back to school layout... is that too many for one kid???  lol

This layout was inspired from one done by fellow Consultant, Amy Mayhew.
Amy doesn't seem to have a blog, otherwise I would share a link with you.

This layout design is one of my very faves from Magic, called Backstage.

The photos are a little dark, I know.  I tried something different when I had them printed and I see I should have lightened them a bit.  I was going to print them in black and white, but opted to back off the black and white to about 3/4 of the way from the original color, if that makes sense.  ;)
They basically have a hint of color left in them.

Happy creating!  :)

One Random Stamped 12x12 Cardstock = 2 Double Page LOs

Well, school officially started here today, kinda bittersweet.
I'll miss the little fart...  ;)

Cole has started Grade 6; his last year in elementary school.

But... finally, a photo op!  lol

So this is what I finished today, using some pictures taken this morning before school.  :)

But I have to back up a minute and show you the process before showing you the final product, right?

It all began with a 12x12 Colonial White piece of cardstock, and a stamp set called Many Thanks, which is now retired, but still remains one of my faves, and Universal Backgrounds.

Add a little ink, and voila...

Then add a couple of layout designs from Magic, and a few cuts here and there... some embellishments and photos and this is what I made:

Layout 1:  Magic - Levitate

Layout 2:  Magic - Illusion

What do you think?
i.love.them

And I even have a few scraps of random stamped cardstock left, so I guess I will have to make a card.  Darn, hey?!   ;)

Happy creating!  :)

Elemental 3x3 Thank You's and Notepad

I needed to create some more 3x3 thank you cards for my customers.

Using one of the B&Ts from the new Elemental Level 2 paper pack, I whipped up some quick & cute cards.

~~~~~~~
And then there's this plain ol' 5x7 note pad.... I just added some super quick fixin's to it to doll it up a bit.  It literally took a couple of minutes and now it's super cute!
My BFF doesn't ever seem to have anything to jot something down on at her house (she always grabs an envelope from her mail... lol), so I tend to drop these by to her once in a while.  I took this one to her a couple of days ago. ;)
Happy creating!  :)
A Little Wicked Blog Candy...
This is now closed.
Hey all you fabulous peeps!
 I have a little blog candy up for grabs.
I have a brand new WICKED stamp set to give away.
This set was the August Stamp of the Month that is now no longer available for purchase.
I so wish I could show you my newest projects I made using this set for the Make It From Your Heart Contest, but that will have to wait a little longer.  ;)
For now though, here's what the set looks like:
And here's a card I posted previously that I made using it:
The reasons for my offering a little blog candy is:
  1. I just celebrated my 6th anniversary in August with CTMH
  2. I just celebrated my 42nd birthday in August
  3. I am almost at 500 fantastic followers on my little blog
I'll leave this open until midnight MST on September 15th, and will announce the winner the morning of the 16th.
All you have to do is leave me a comment on this post to be entered.  :)
Happy creating!  :)
September Paper Trails Blog Hop - Sonoma
Welcome to the Paper Trails Blog Hop for September!
You should have arrived from Terri's blog, but this is a circular hop, so it doesn't really matter where you begin.  ;)
This month we are featuring a beautiful paper pack called Sonoma.
I have to say that Sonoma is one of the paper packs that jumped off the Idea Book page when I first saw it.  It just seems so versatile to me.
For my 6x6 card, I decided to put away the purples and greens and work with the browns in the pack to make it more monochromatic.
I added a punch of color by layering the Tulip velvet ribbon over top of the Dark Chocolate Striped grosgrain.
The image of the little girl from the Childhood Portrait stamp set was stamped in Cocoa ink and then clear embossed.
The words are from a new stamp set called Art Philosophy Seasons, which is one of 3 stamp sets included in the new Cricut Art Philosopy Collection.
{In case you haven't already heard, CTMH has a Cricut Cartridge!!!}
Check out that beautiful Rhinestone Designer Brad!
Season To Celebrate
I've been a very busy girl, creating lots o' stuff to submit to the CTMH Make It From Your Heart contest open to Consultants.
I promise that I will have a ton of stuff in September (or possibly October, depending on when they are announced) to share with you once the winners have been announced, so please hang in there with me.  ;)
In the meantime, here's a card I considered entering, but I ended up creating something else that I thought was a little better for that specific category.
So now I'm free to share this one with you...
~~~~~~~

For my card, I used a pattern from Wishes - On the Edge, and I paired up B&Ts from the Believe Level 2 paper pack and the upcoming October Stamp of the Month called Holiday Magic.

The snowflake at the top is embossed with Silver embossing powder and I added a Clear and Blue Sparkles to the tree and the snowflakes.

I also used the new Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the large circle.

Winning Bite Sized Page...

I know my bloging has been a little lacking lately.
I've been a busy girl, tho.

What have I been up to?  Well, I've been busy creating submissions to the Make It From Your Heart Contest which is open to CTMH Consultants until the end of the month, and last weekend was our local annual Fall Fair that I was also busy creating projects for.

I won't be able to share anything yet that I am entering into the CTMH MIFYH contest, but I can share my winning bite sized page from the Fall Fair with you.

For all of my projects I ended up using photos that I had printed up quite a while ago and they were just sitting here at home, so some of the photos you may see in my upcoming projects may look familiar... ; )

On this 9x9 page, I used a beautiful new paper pack called Dreamin'.  Perfect for those 'fall' photos.  This picture of Cole was taken when he was 6.  He's now 11, so he's about double in size... lol   Look at that cute little face!  :)

I used my new Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the tree and the title.

Oh, and I was so excited to put my winnings from the Fall Fair (cash and gift cards for the local scrapbooking store), plus cash from my birthday on Sunday, towards a Cricut Expressions machine.  Now I will be able to cut out things larger than 5 1/2" which my orignial little Cricut could only do.  Happy, happy!  :)

I'm still trying to create more projects for the MIFYH Contest, so I may not have anything to share for a little while again.  But maybe I will....  just not sure yet.

But until next time, happy creating!  :)
