Paper Trail Blog Hop for September... Moonlight

Welcome to the Paper Trail Blog Hop for September!

You should have arrived from Mary's blog, but this is a circular hop, so it doesn't matter where you begin.

This month we are featuring the Moonlight paper packet.

For this month's hop, I created a little treat pocket to share with you.

It would be perfect to hold some old fashioned candy sticks, but since I didn't have any, I put a couple of new Smokey Plum alcohol markers into the pocket.

Now that's my kind of treat!  lol

To make my treat pocket, I cut a piece of Moonlight B&T paper measuring 2 1/2" x 12", and scored it at 5", then sealed the sides with 1/8" ScorTape.

I used a Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch for the decorative edge at the top of the opening.
Perfect for a Halloween treat!

The sentiment is from a new stamp set called Magic Potions, full of lots of great labels.

The other new items I used are some Black Tulle ribbon, and some Black Striped Grosgrain ribbon.

~~~~~~~
I've been a busy girl getting ready to attend my first upcoming Close To My Heart event -Regionals, which will be held in Edmonton, AB, in September.
I was honoured to be asked about being a presenter, but with my shyness in talking in front of large groups of people, I decided it was best to turn it down.
Still so very exciting to have been asked.  :)
I was also asked to create a project for the Auction they hold at Regionals.
Now that I could do!
Close To My Heart donates to Operation Smile, so I'm hoping my project brings in enough money to pay for a surgery for someone.
How wonderful would that be???
I will be able to share my project with you after I get back from Regionals.
~~~~~~~

This is what the papers in the Moonlight paper packet look like:

And with it being a new month, that means there is a new Stamp of the Month - Fall Favorites.

~~~~~~~
Anyways, it's now time for you to hop along and see what Connie has created.
Happy creating!  :)
Christmas Love with Avonlea
I love the B&T papers from Avonlea!
Just look at how pretty this card turned out.
That dark teal colour is gorgeous.
I used Christmas Love for the sentiment, and the pattern is from Originals - Lucky Three.
I also used the new Silver Shimmer Trim for the ribbon detail, and the great thing about it is that it is adhesive backed.  I ran two strips across the middle, and then ran a pleated strip down the center of those two strips.
Happy creating!  :)
Supplies used are all CTMH:
Paper:  Avonlea paper packet; Colonial White CS
Stamp:  Christmas Love, Year-Round Cheer - Dec. SOTM
Inks:  Slate, Olive, Cranberry, Twilight
Embellishments:  Silver Shimmer Trim, Cranberry button, Cranberry baker's twine, Licorice opaques
Other:  Originals - retired
Recent Kid's Class
Last week I held my first kid's class for a 12 year old girl I used to do daycare for, and three of her friends.
This is what they created:
Inspiration for my bookmark came from this one by Chat Wszelaki.
We used paper from the new Flirty paper packet, and the sentiment is from Words of Comfort.
And the base for the bookmark measures 2 1/2" x 6" (cut at 2 1/2" x 12", and scored at 6").
The flower shapes were cut using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.
And we used a black journal pen to draw on the faux stitching.
This one is a variation of an old stand-by - the stacked presents card - except by changing the ribbon, this one looks more like a 3-tier cake.
You can see my first version of the stacked presents card here.
And I have to give credit to the person I cased the original stacked presents idea from - Allison Ohran
We used paper from the Dotty for You paper pack, a past CTMH special.
The nice thing about CTMH papers is that the papers are double sided, so the girls were able to flip over any of the papers to create a card that looked slightly different from their friend's.
And lastly, this card was inspired by this one by Lynn Put.
We used papers from the new Clementine paper packet.
The owl is a punch from SU, and it's wings are from another SU punch called Boho Blossom.
The sentiment is from Just a Number stamp set.
It's an adorable card!
And the girls all had fun...  ;)
Happy creating!  :)
Halloween card
I created this card back in February/March and had submitted it along with the treat holder that got published in the current issue of Paper Crafts.
This one didn't make the cut, but I LOVE this card even so!  ♥
I used the now retired Mischief B&T papers, and "Halloween" is from the retired Wicked stamp set.
I used the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the circle and the decorative circle cardstock pieces, as well as the numbers (if I remember correctly).
The bats are from a Martha Stewart punch, and the edge along the right side was done with a die from MFT.
I used the same technique for the flying bats on this card that I used on my treat holder from  yesterday's post.  I simply cut strips from a transparency sheet at different lengths and attached the bats to the ends to have them appear to be flying.
Happy creating!  :)
Supplies used are all CTMH (unless otherwise noted):
Paper:  Mischief B&Ts - retired; Colonial White, Black CS
Stamp:  Wicked - retired
Ink:  Black
Embellishments:  Dk. Chocolate Striped grosgrain, Designer Rhinestone
 brads, Clear sparkles
Punch/Die:  Bat (Martha Stewart), Die-namics Faux Crochet die (My Favorite Things)
Hey, I'm back with my second publication that I promised to show you when it was released.
I created this Halloween Treat Holder back in sometime around March.
You can find it on page 52 in this issue of Paper Crafts, available now.
Paper Crafts is my fave papercrafting magazine!
I'm super excited to be published with them again.
Happy creating!  :)
Give Thanks... It's Your Day & Year-Round Cheer
This cute card came together very quickly.
I used the It's Your Day stamp set for the trendy chevron stripes.
That fabulous set is available for just $5, and only until the end of September, with a minimum qualifying purchase of $35 from the Autumn/Winter Idea Book.
The main image and sentiment is from an upcoming Stamp of the Month for December, called Year-Round Cheer.
The dollop of whip cream on top of the pie was made by using Liquid Applique and heat set it to make it puff up.
I used some Burlap ribbon and Colonial White Rosette ribbon, too.
Simple and cute!
Happy creating!  :)
Supplies used are all CTMH (unless otherwise noted):
Paper:  Colonial White, Sunset CS
Stamps:  It's Your Day, Year-Round Cheer - Dec SOTM
Inks:  Chocolate, Sunset, Champagne
Embellishments:  Burlap ribbon, Colonial White Rosette ribbon, Mocha opaques
Other:  Cricut Artiste cartridge, Blending pen, 3D foam tape, ScorTape (ScorPal)
Sweet as You... Pun Fun with Dakota
Playing with one of the new card layouts from the Make It From Your Heart publication, I created this card.
I paired up the old barn-wood looking B&T paper from the Dakota paper packet, with some Gypsy and Juniper cardstock.
The sentiment is from the Birthday set, which is one of the stamp sets that come with the Cricut Artiste Collection.
The cupcake image is from Pun Fun, and the frame image is from Perfect Fit - Frames.
I watercolored my cupcake with my Blending pen and Gypsy and Juniper inks.
I added little polka dots to the cupcake wrapper using my new Chalk marker.
And I added a little glitter to the to of the cupcake with Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel.
Happy creating!  :)
Supplies used are all CTMH (unless otherwise noted):
Paper:  Dakota B&T; White Daisy, Gypsy, Juniper CS
Stamps:  Birthday - Artiste, Pun Fun, Perfect Fit - Frames
Inks:  Black, Gypsy, Juniper
Embellishments:  Clear sparkles, Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel
Other:  Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge, Chalk marker, Make It From Your Heart, Blending pen, 3D foam tape, Paper crimper (Fiskars)
3x3 Monogram card
I couldn't resist buying one of the new Monogram stamps.
Especially since they are only $2.95.  ;)
For my 3x3 card, I used my new 'W' Monogram stamp, the new Cricut Artiste cartridge for the scallop, Perfect Fit - Frames for the polka-dot scallop frame image, and the chevron is from the It's Your Day set (which is available from now until September 30th).
Another new item on my card is the Almond Glitz Glitter Gel.
And of course I can't forget the new Champagne colour of ink and cardstock.
Happy creating!  :)
Supplies used are all CTMH:
Paper:  Champagne, Colonial White CS
Stamps:  'W' Monogram, Perfect Fit - Frames, It's Your Day
Inks:  Chocolate, Champagne
Embellishments:  Mocha Opaques, Almond Glitz Glitter Gel
