Congrats Wedding Cake Card

We have an upcoming wedding we will be attending... in Vegas baby!

I found out that the main wedding color will be red, so I made this card for the bride and groom.

It should be a fun wedding.  :)

And the bachelorette party is going to be Flapper themed... I have my costume ready!

Watercolor Flower Birthday Card

Here is a little bit of a spoiler...

The new Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog will be available on April 1st, and I used a few of the new products on this card.

 I embossed the flower image from Wavy Blooms with white embossing powder on a piece of watercolor paper.

Then I pulled out my old waterbrush to "paint" the inks onto the flower.  I used a little Glacier ink around the flower and blended it out, but it is pretty light and hard to see in the photo.

Once the paper was dry, I used my paper trimmer to trim the watercolor paper closer to the flower, and then trimmed around it with my scissors.

More Random Stamping Cards

A few weeks ago (or so), I pulled out a few stamp sets and random stamped a scrap piece of White Daisy cardstock.  Big enough of a scrap piece that I could make two cards from it.

Happy Fabulous Birthday

Here is a perfect card for my friend's birthday.

 (Inspired by this card found on Pinterest by Lisa A.)

I created the stripe by adding strips of black cardstock onto the white card base.

I wanted a bright pink flower for my card, so I had to dig into my retired SU ink colors to find Pink Passion.  

Love it.  It really pops.

Set of 4 Hopscotch Cards

I slightly tweaked my past Snowhaven 12 Christmas Cards Workshop to create this pretty set of Hopscotch cards.

(All of you CTMH Consultants will appreciate the concept that I used 1 sheet of bulk paper for these cards, and still had enough paper left over for two more cards.)

I will be offering this as an upcoming workshop in April, so if you are local, watch for details.  (You can pick the sentiments you want to use.)

Happy Birthday Balloon

I saw this card on Pinterest a while back and thought it was so simply cute.

Just had to re-create it using CTMH Sunset Paper Fundamentals paper.

To cut the balloon shape, I used an old Coluzzle circle and cut the circle shape, leaving a little gap where I didn't cut it, so I could hand-cut the bottom part of the balloon.

I popped up the bottom portion of the balloon with 3D foam tape, and left the top flush with the card.

Gives it a little dimension.

Hopscotch Sunburst Birthday

Another month means another challenge for our team on our Facebook team group page.

We were to create something using these guidelines... "February Art Challenge: Use the March stamp of the month to create something unique. Let's make this an inspiration challenge: use a project you love from your own past work or someone else's and create a new version for 2015."

So this is what I made using one of the frames from Choose Happy, and the inspiration came from this card by Jaime Llewellyn.
