Grade 5, 6 & 7 Folios

I got a full day to create on holiday Monday (BC Family Day) when a bunch of friends came over to my place to have a crafty day.

I pulled out Cole's grade 7, 8, 9 and 10 school photos and started playing catch up with the retired True Fit Folios that CTMH used to sell.  (I had previously prepped a bunch to get me through to his graduation).

Today I was just going to share his Grade 7 page, but then I realized that I hadn't shared his Grade 5 or Grade 6 folios yet, like I thought I had.  So I will quickly share those first...

I used retired CTMH Lucky papers on this his Grade 5 layout.

And I used retired CTMH Victory papers on his Grade 6 layout...

Now for my most recent one, this is his Grade 7 folio page.

I used retired CTMH ProPlayer papers and ProPlayer My Stickease on this one.

These folios are great because I can tuck all of his report cards inside along with any other papers I want to keep.

You can see all the other folios I did for his album from Kindergarten through to Grade 4 HERE,

as well as the school page layout I made for the beginning of his elementary school album.

I will share the Grade 8 folio next time...

Happy creating!  :)

Balloon Animals Birthday Card

I adore the February Stamp of the Month!  It is called Balloon Animals, and it is full of super cute balloons.

I used just a couple of them on this card.
(Inspired by this card by Elena Roussakis on the Avery Elle blog.)

I cut the large balloon shape out of White Daisy cardstock using the Artistry Cricut cartridge, and then backed it with a piece of Canary Paper Fundamentals paper.

I stamped "It's Your Day", and sprinkled clear embossing powder over top and heat set it, as I find that the ink may smudge on Paper Fundamentals papers.

For the black Bitty Sparkles, I simply colored the clear sparkles with a Black ShinHan marker.

Happy creating!  :)

Wavy Blooms Center Step Cards

I am still on a kick with the center step style cards.
(There is a link in my previous post to take you to the instructions for a center step card, although these are a narrower version.)

I really enjoyed making these.  :)

What I did was take some scrap pieces of White Daisy cardstock and painted rough circles in a bright yellow and vibrant blue using my CTMH watercolor paints.

Once they dried, I stamped the Wavy Blooms flower images over top of the painted cardstock.

Then I used my micro-tip scissors to hand cut the flowers out.

I set them on to the White Daisy cardstock rectangular piece, so I could judge where I wanted to stamp the leaves in Whisper ink.  After I stamped the images, I used a waterbrush to lightly color the leaves with Whisper ink.

I simply glued the flowers in place, and added the retired Metal Flowers to the centers of the flowers.

The black and blue gems on both cards are Clear Sparkles that I just colored with my ShinHan markers.

Happy creating!  :)
