Happy Times Birthday Card

This pretty card uses the Happy Times stamp set and papers from the Happy Times paper packet, available only during May, while quantities last.

Have I mentioned how much I love these papers???

Just Married - Celebrate With Cake

What a sweet wedding card, if I say so myself!  lol

I used the May stamp of the month set, Celebrate With Cake for this one.

(inspired by this card by Gina Brandstetter)

I used the same technique that Gina did on her card for the flowers, where you flip the stamp over and I inked it up with Pixie and Sweet Leaf inks, and then randomly stamped them onto a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" piece of White Daisy cardstock.  Then I cleaned the stamp, flipped it over and inked the actual image in black ink and stamped them over top of the pink and green "blotches".

I stamped a few extra flowers and cut them out with my scissors to add to the cake with 3D foam tape.

Hawaiian Hibiscus Birthday Card

I have a pretty birthday card to share with you today.

I used the Close To My Heart Hawaiian Hibiscus stamp set on this one.

First I stamped with Versamark ink and then embossed the images with white embossing powder onto the watercolor paper.

I coloured in the flowers and leaves by putting a few drops of different inks onto a paint pallet, and spritzed the cardstock with water, then dipped my waterbrush into the ink and added it to the wet paper.

After it dried, I cut out each image with my scissors, and added them with 3D foam tape.

Last step, I added a little glitter with the retired glitz glitter gel, using a paint brush to basically paint it onto the flowers.

Sunburst Birthday Card

It was Lee's birthday on Friday.

Of course I had to make him a card, and I was short on time, so I looked for inspiration on trusty ol' Pinterest and found this one by Connie Collins.

I adapted her card to what I had on hand and love how it turned out.
