I know I've been a little lacking on the sharing of creativeness, lately.
Honestly, I haven't had much time to even stamp lately.
Ahhh, summer... it's just a busy time of year.
Ours lasts for such a little time, that we need to enjoy it while we can.
Yet I find I haven't really been out to enjoy any of all this hot weather we've been having this year.
But I told Lee I was going to have a relaxing day at home today, to bask in the sun, and do whatever I want to do. ;)
Anyways, back to my share...
I made the above Christmas card using the new Avonlea paper packet.
The tree image is from Christmas Love, and the sentiment is from the upcoming October SOTM - Very Merry Christmas. On the tree, I added a few dots of Silver Glitz Glitter Gel for a little extra pizzaz.
You will also notice I used the new Slate Satin Polka-Dot ribbon.
Here's a quick how-to on how I added that ribbon to my card:
I simply ran a strip of 1/2" wide ScorTape across the card front where I wanted my ribbon to be.
Then I placed my ribbon across the ScorTape, making the two loops as shown above.
Then I added two strips of ScorTape to the outer sides of the loops.
Those will help hold the loopy parts a little flatter once the stamped cardstock piece is added.
Easy peasy, just the way I like it to be. :)
Oh, and another quick tip on the ribbon before I go, do you know the easy way on how to cut the ends like that???
Simply fold your ribbon in half (lengthwise) and cut off your angle. Ha!
Happy creating! :)
