Dakota Birthday Greetings

With the release of the new 2012 CTMH Autumn/Winter Idea Book & Catalog on August 1st,
there is just so much fun new stuff to play with!
It's like Christmas in my studio....  ;)

Today I have a masculine birthday card to share with you all, created with some of the new products.

I loved this card made by Jackie Pedro, and re-created it with CTMH products.
I'm not sure if she used a sketch or came up with the design, but it's super cute!
And I love me a great sketch... this one will be going in my sketch book.  ;)

On my card, I used the new Dakota paper packet.
I especially love the barn wood and houndstooth B&T papers in it.

Another new item I used is the Slate button and Slate cardstock, and of course the colour Slate... it's new, too!

Before I go, I also want to mention that I have Blog Candy up for grabs (until August 10th).

Happy creating!  :)

Supplies used all CTMH (unless otherwise noted):
Paper:  Dakota paper packet; Slate, Colonial White CS
Stamp:  Just a Number
Embellishments:  Licorice Opaque, Slate Button, White Hemp
Punches:  Sm. Star (SU), 2 1/4" and 2 1/2" circles (EK), 1 3/8" square (EK)
Other:  3D foam tape, Paper piercer, ScorTape (ScorPal)

  3. You'll have to check out the blog hop on August 5th to see a few cards I made with this awesome paper pack. I love what you did with your card, and thank you for showing me that the slate mini-medley pack would be perfect with Dakota. :)

  6. Manly cards are the most challenging for me...you nailed it with this one. Love the loose know hanging from the button slightly, seems appropriate with these papers.
