It's A Girl! Shaped Card

I was recently asked to create a girly baby card.

So this is what I made, using this printable template I found on Pinterest.

It ended up being a little odd-sized (at approximately 4 1/2" by 5 1/4"), so I pulled out my envelope punch board and created a special sized envelope for the card.

Turned out pretty sweet.  ♥

A new color combo for me...

I haven't put this combo together before (Sweet Leaf, Juniper and Twilight), but I likey! I saw a covered notepad on Debbie Olson's blog here and wanted to recreate it into a card using my CTMH products. So this is my version of her project, turned into an 8" x 3 1/2" card. I'm happy with it, other than I had to draw my stitched lines on because there is something seriously wrong with my sewing machine. It's probably just the operator! Or perhaps it may be from trying to sew through glue and all the sticky build up on my needle! lol But even after cleaning, checking it over, breaking a needle, checking it and trying it out again, it still didn't want to sew properly. It seems I only pull my machine out for my scrapbooking lately, so I'll have to try to stich without gluing it first next time. So anyways, for today I had to give up on sewing my stitches and resort to my white gel pen and a black journal pen. C'est la vie!

(another) Whooo Loves You card....

Once again I've been inspired to CASE (copy and steal everything) a card. I saw one on Silke Ledlow's blog that I fell in love with and this is my version of her card, using all CTMH. It's size is 3 1/4" x 6 1/2".

Well, I have to say, I really like the new book format of the Originals. This design is called Tie Back Tag and I altered it to a 8x4 card (instead of 8x3.5). I used the Evensong Creative Basics stripe B&T and just covered the red stripe with 1/2" strips of Olive C/S. Then I took some White Daisy C/S and ran it through my paper crimper and cut 1/4" strips and placed those down the center of the Olive strips. Adds a little extra character with the corrugated look, even though it doesn't show very well in the photo - it looks really cool IRL. The polka dots were done with a 1/2" circle punch.

Girly birthday card (to hold a gift certificate)

Cole has a birthday party to go to today, so last night I made a card to fit the gift certificate. This past week I went into the Northern Toy Box to find a gift, because it's much more fun to open a present than a gift certificate, but of course there were way too many things and it was a tad bit overwhelming. What would she like? Does she already have one? I should of just asked her mom what she's into right now; would of made my job a little easier, but no. LOL So Cole and I left with gift certificate in hand. Kinda boring, so hopefully the card makes up for it a little. ;o)

Take Your Best Shot card

I've been ogling Heather Gerard's (fellow CTMH Consultant) fantabulous work with the Game On paper pack and finally found the time to do some work, using her creativity. (Thanks Heather!) I love the look of Clover Meadow with these B&Ts, as you will see when I get my LOs completed (hopefully today) and get them posted, too. The size of this card is 8 x 3.5.
