Big MAGICAL Adventure 6x6 Mini Album

Have you seen the new CTMH Magical Paper Packet and Magical Complements?

So fun!

About a week ago, someone contacted me for info on an old project I made back in 2012.

Looking through the pictures of my old mini made me want to make a new version, so I pulled out my Magical papers and went to work, figuring it all out by looking at the pictures of my old mini album.  (The original was given away as a gift.)

My original was a 6x6 Kraft Card and Envelope Mini Album and the "how-to" for how to make the cover out of Kraft cardstock was made using instructions from fellow CTMH Consultant, Mary Gunn.

I just happened to have a bunch of these 6x6 Kraft cards left over to use on this album.  And honestly for the inner pages, it only uses 2 cards and 2 envelopes, plus one 6x6 piece of Kraft cardstock.

Note:  These CTMH Kraft cards and envelopes are discontinued now, but you could easily just use seven 6x6 pieces of Kraft cardstock for the inner pages.

When you open up the card page, there is room for two pages inside...

This shows the envelope page when it is opened up.  You can easily add another pull out page for even more photos.

These are the two pages inside of another card....

And here is another envelope opened up...

This last page has a pull out photo mat nestled in an envelope pocket.

Now I can't wait to fill this mini with pictures from our upcoming trip.  : )

Happy creating!  :)

My sChOOL Buds Envelope Mini Album

After seeing Ashley's Envelope Mini Album and tutorial that you can see HERE on her Scrap, Paper, Scissors Academy blog, I was inspired to try one for myself.  I'd never made an album out of envelopes before but have seen many.  For some reason this one spoke to me.  I think partly because I just happened to have placed a box of those envelopes on my desk a few days earlier with a plan to do something with them.   Well, three down, close to a hundred envelopes to go...  lol

Yes, that's right, this only took three No. 8 envelopes (3 5/8" x 6 1/2"), and I changed the instructions up a bit and used CTMH White Chipboard to create the front and back covers.  Tip:  it was easy to cut the chipboard by using my regular cutter by making the cut on one side, then flipping it over and cutting in the same place on that side.  Though I do have a cutter with a self-sharpening blade and I wouldn't recommend using a regular cutter as it might dull your blade.  ;)  And I also noticed that I didn't need to use any force than I would for a sheet of B&T.  It easily cut right through.  Awesome!

As soon as I started creating my album, I thought of my son's school pictures of his friends.  You know those little ones that don't ever seem to have a home?  I found some sitting on his shelf in his bedroom, so these will work perfectly.

I used the Irresitibles Lots of Dots Alphas for the album title, and sponged Olive ink onto the C-O-O-L.  Not sure if it stands out well enough to be noticed, so I thought I'd point that out.  I also purposely have left all his buddies' photos and info off for now so I can freely post the pics of my album first.  ;)
The little pull-outs will "hide" all his friend's info, too.  And the last page is for their phone numbers.  Fun!

Hope I've inspired you to play today!  Happy creating!  :)
