Yesterday afternoon, after school and swimming lessons, I took my DS to WalMart to get him some new swimming gear and I was walking a few steps in front of Cole. He was following behind, dilly-dallying in his usual way. I glanced behind me to see where he was as he was walking up to a white-haired, beautiful lady, saying, "Excuse me, you dropped this penny." She looked at him and over at me, saying, "I don't think it's mine...", but he just gave it to her and skipped happily over to me. I kinda just shrugged in her direction with a smile, and we kept on going on our merry way. I was thinking, that is sooo Cole. He has a kind heart that way. Within a minute, the lady caught up with us in the store and asked me if she could reward him for what he had done. Of course I said yes. She explained to Cole that her wallet was sitting open in her cart and she wouldn't have known it if he didn't bring the penny back to her. And how she could have lost a lot more... then she handed him a dollar. Wow, you should have seen the grin on his face... it was priceless! And I was just as proud as he was! I thanked her for doing that. I thought that was sooo awesome of her to take the time to teach my son such a priceless lesson like that. I am just so PROUD of him and so grateful for her, that I had to share!

Hi, I posted on CTMH BB, but here it is again. That is such a beautiful moment to remember. Things like that make us who we are. BTW he is just soooo handsome. :)
Vicki...too funny! I read your post on the bb and didn't even connect it to you! Your son is just adorable, and what a little gentleman! You should be very proud.
I Love when our kids do something like that... it just goes to show that they ARE listening at times. I love the pictures... what a cutie!
What a cute story. Your son is such a good boy!
What a kid eh? He's so cute! You should be proud and what a moment to cherish....I hear a scrapbook page calling your name....
I was just sent to your blog from "Scrappin' in Paradise" to look at a 'Life's a Jungle' card. I found the story about your son and thought it was just awesome of him and what a great moral story. I have copied the story, printed it out and will be reading it to my 6 year old daughter tonight and hopefully she gets something out of it. Thanks for sharing.
Awwww that is the sweetest thing!!!
