dino-dude... (a one pager)

Cole has always loved his lego, starting with the big ones like these that had dinosaurs in with them. Now he builds amazing things with the regular sized legos. Coolest toy ever invented!!!

This layout design is from Reflections - Title Topper, Subtitle. These pics worked fairly well with my (CTMH Sistah) Marjorie's color challenge (Olive, Barn Red, Honey and Cocoa or Chocolate) , so I quickly finished this one pager. The hardest part was figuring out a title... TFL

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Reflections - Title Topper, Subtitle
It's A Guy Thing paper pack

Dino Roar stamp set

Sick Day.. a one pager

Going through my pics I found these of my son from almost 7 years ago. He was sooo sick with a flu that day... poor thing, he couldn't even barely walk. Took two steps and had to lay down for a rest kinda thing. It lasted a few days and it took a while for him to fully recover. I always feel so bad for these little guys when they're sick like that.

This layout design is from PageMaps.com, from June 2008 archives. It was supposed to be for a 8 1/2 x 11 page, but I just made it to fit 12 x 12. TFL

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Game On B&T bulk
Cranberry B&T (linen look, retired from Fleurs des Jardins - I think)
Colonial White, Cranberry and Black C/S
Cranberry bigger brads
White Ricrac

I have a lot of old pics from before I ever scrapbooked that only have one or two pics from that 'event'. What to do, what to do??? Cheers! Cosmobella

I joined an image swap and while looking through some of my stamps, I discovered a Bella I had forgotten that I had! Ooh, a sign that I have too much stuff! Oops, did I just say that??? LOL Anyways, I just had to ink her up and try her out since she was new and feeling unwanted...

I have a card club to go to this weekend (one where I get to play and not teach at ~ the best kind!) and the challenge was to use the little metal ribbon slide (SU) on an item to bring to the next class. So I used it on this card. Bella is sooo cute & sassy! I'm still hoping that CTMH comes out with some fab chic images with sassy sayings!

Happiness held is the seed...

I made the scallop circle on this 5.5 x 5.5 card using a slit punch. (Thanks, Grace, for pointing me in the direction of the directions! LOL) I've been collecting some of the retired B&Ts and am trying to use some of them up. So I pulled this color combo together. Sorry for the colors in the photo. For the life of me, I could not get the Hydrangea to show true in my pics, and I took a lot of pics... thank goodness for digital, LOL! Even the Sweet Leaf is looking a little limey. Hydrangea is a real vibrant Halloweeny-type of purple, and Sweet Leaf is a softer green. Oh, well, what can ya do??? I still need to take that photography course I'm always talking about!!!

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Happiness stamp set
Sweet Leaf B&T (retired)
Hydrangea, Amethyst and White Daisy C/S
Hydrangea (second generation stamping) and Black inks
White Daisy bigger brads

Coluzzle circle
Slit Punch (SU)
Pop-dots (other)

Clover Pickin' layout

These are way old pics from 1992, when my twin daughters were only 2 1/2 yrs old. They were sitting out in our old back yard having a nice little visit with their cousin. Wow, the clover was bad and it really needed a mowing, but then I wouldn't have had these cute pics. I loved the fact that the girls were both wearing the same outfits as their cousin that day -- all in different color polka-dots, though. Totally not planned, we just didn't have a lot of stores to buy kids clothes in back then in our little city of Dawson Creek. (Not to be confused with Dawson's Creek, the TV show... LOL) TFL

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Let's Get Together level 2 paper pack
Garden Green B&T (swirl pattern - retired)
Buttercup, Cranberry, White Daisy and New England Ivy C/S
Big Pinks flower (painted with Cranberry, Buttercup and Honey inks using a waterbrush)
White Daisy and Summer Posies flowers
Cranberry and New England Ivy buttons (from Holiday Craft Buttons)
Bulk White Ricrac
Garden Green brads
Title cut with Cricut - All Mixed Up cartridge
Black Jounal Pen (CM)
Pop-dots (under large flower petals)

Girly birthday card (to hold a gift certificate)

Cole has a birthday party to go to today, so last night I made a card to fit the gift certificate. This past week I went into the Northern Toy Box to find a gift, because it's much more fun to open a present than a gift certificate, but of course there were way too many things and it was a tad bit overwhelming. What would she like? Does she already have one? I should of just asked her mom what she's into right now; would of made my job a little easier, but no. LOL So Cole and I left with gift certificate in hand. Kinda boring, so hopefully the card makes up for it a little. ;o)

Happy Birthday, Emily!

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
The Best Way stamp set
Happy Birthday stamp set
Birthday Wishes stamp set
Whoops-A-Daisy B&T
Hydrangea, Watermelon and White Daisy C/S

Clear Dew Drops (Michaels)

Take Your Best Shot card

I've been ogling Heather Gerard's (fellow CTMH Consultant) fantabulous work with the Game On paper pack and finally found the time to do some work, using her creativity. (Thanks Heather!) Vroooom...

Another watercolor card today. I had been getting together with a couple of friends every Monday to craft while the kids were in school, but since the kidlets have been out for Summer break, it's been more sporatic when we meet. We decided to create cards to bring with us for the next time we meet and bring supplies for the others to make our cards. For a theme we decided on juvenile boy cards and this is what I made today. I still have to decide if I like this one enough for my project to do with these gals or if I need to make a different one. Knowing me, I'll make something completely different! LOL

What I used (all CTMH product unless otherwise noted):
Finish Line
Watercolor paper (140 lb. from Michaels)
Black, Twilight, and Honey C/S
Black, Twilight, Honey, Cranberry, Grey Wool and Breeze inks
Black Staz-on
Edge Distresser
Holiday Red bigger brads
Pop-dots under main image
Waterbrush

Thinking of You watercolor card

I bought some 140 lb. watercolor paper from Michaels yesterday and tried my new Raccoon & Friends stamp with the bears on it. I first stamped the image with black Staz-on, then I just painted on the colors using ink from our stamp pad lids (give them a squeeze with the lid down) and our waterbrush. It was nice to get a chance to play today.

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Raccoon & Friends (bears)
Butterfly Kiss (Thinking of You)
Bamboo C/S and Chocolate textured C/S
Watercolor paper
Chocolate, Black, Olive, Hollyhock and Breeze inks

Edge distresser
Silver Grommets from sewing dept. at Walmart (comes with it's own setting tool)

Just a quick update...

Hi all. Sorry I've kind of vanished off the face of the blogging planet. We're still having a lot of things going on with my Dad, both medically and other stuff. So between that and the school year-end, life has been too busy to scrap much. I am definitely going through crafting withdrawls! LOL And hopefully no one feels snubbed if I'm not able to respond to questions and such over the next while. I am quite overwhelmed with all we are dealing with right now...

So here's to hoping that life will settle a bit (soon) so I can feed my crafting addiction... cheers!

Class of 2008...

Wow! I can't believe it's happened! My DDs have officially graduated! Not that it surprises me, it's just that the time has flown by. People have always warned me that it would. Two down, one more to go... LOL! Well, Cole still has 10 more years to go, so it won't be right away, thank goodness. Jessica and Jocelyn are off to College the 3rd week of August. They're starting to grow wings; I can actually see them starting to poke out a little. :o)
