While I was perusing the CTMH bulletin boards this morning, someone was looking for ideas on a 'make-n-take' for a gathering. It made me think of those cute little sour cream containers. So I had to make one, just so I could get it out of my mind... and now I'm in the mood for more! I love this new paper pack called That's Amore! So, out came Originals and I made an adorable little 3x3 card, too. Here's pics of both.
What I used on the card (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Originals - Top It Off
Soul Mates SS
Doodle Alphabet
That's Amore B&T
Colonial White CS
Chocolate and Tulip inks
Scallop scissors
DMC floss (from my old stash from those cross-stitch days)
Paper piercer and needle
Pop-dots (other)
Make-up sponge (other)
How I made the sour cream container:
These are so easy and inexpensive to make. You can make 6 from a 12x12 sheet. Take a 4x6 piece of B&T or CS and make it into a short tube by running double sided sticky tape down one side (on the 4" side). Then you use the same adhesive to close one end. Fill with candy and then run more adhesive down the open end, but close it on an opposite angle. I like to run my ends through a crimper, but you don't have to if you don't have one.
