November HAS Cards

Well these cards are for the last Humble Artists swap for this calendar year. And I think they turned out to be my newest favourites!

I started with random stamping a piece of Colonial White CS yesterday, and then misted it with a mixture of rubbing alcohol, Create-A-Shade Pearl paint and Juniper re-inker. I let it dry, and because I think I used too much mist, it curled the CS up a bit, so I left it under some weight over night to flatten out a bit.

Although it doesn't photograph well, it has a very nice shimmer and feel to it. Cool technique.

For this swap we are to make a Christmas themed card and it has to include 7 layers, embossing (or some other options), glitter, an embellishment, and of course current CTMH papers and stamps. I think that was it for the guidelines.

I'm sure the recipients will be happy with their cards, as I know I am. And they look soooo pretty in person. I just wish I knew how to capture them in my photos better. (Learning how to take proper photos is on my to do list, along with a new camera. Some day... aahhh, a girl can dream, right???)

Here's what the RSed paper looked like before I cut into it...

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted): Holiday Trinkets and Argyle Backgrounds stamp sets; Juniper, Twilight, Black, Colonial White and Sweet Leaf CS; Juniper, Twilight, Black, Sweet Leaf and Bamboo inks; Create-A-Shade Pearl paint; Rubbing alcohol (other); Mini mister (Ranger); Juniper re-inker; Circle coluzzle; Branch punch (Martha Stewart); Prisma Glitter; Glue pen; Black brads and mini brads; Colonial White organdy; Clear embossing powder; Versamark; make-up sponge (other); 3D foam tape (other).

Very pretty! Love the colors. I wouldn't have thought to use this stamp set for random stamping. Your swap group will love them!

Vicki,

I posted to ask you to email me and just realized that I am showing up as "Rick and Kori". That's my daughter. She had used my computer and was signed in to google with her name and password instead of mine. Sorry! It's Karen Pedersen here (pedermom@aol.com). Will you please email me? Thanks!
