Springtime Thinking of You Card

***Playing catch up on my posting today, so be sure to scroll down to see all the new posts for the day...

I'm loving the new Springtime stamp set from CTMH.  It has the umbrella, plus rubber boots and baby ducks, as well as different patterns to play matchy-matchy with for the umbrella and boots.  A really cute set.  (Oh and if there is anyone interested, I accidentally ordered an extra set, so I would like to sell it.  I won't charge you the shipping or taxes, just CAD catalog price.  Just send me an email if you want it.)  It's available starting Jan. 1st, 2010.

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):  CB Veranda B&Ts; Colonial White, Creme Brulee, Juniper, Vineyard Berry CS; Black, Olive inks; Black waxy flax; Creme Brulee ribbon; Colonial White button; Bitty Sparkle; Heart punch and scallop edge punch (SU).

Bee Mine... new petite perks

I love making 3x3 cards... they are just so darn cute!  This card is using the new CTMH Petite Perks stamp set, which will be available in just a couple of days.

Sorry the pic is grainy.  I was messing around with the settings on my camera.  Now I have to figure out how to get it back to the way it was...  ;)

Supplies used (unless otherwise noted):  Veranda B&Ts; Bee Mine stamp set; Chocolate, Sunflower inks; Water brush; Polka dot Chocolate organdy; Prisma Glitter; Glue pen; 3D foam tape (other).

Grade 4... True Fit Folio Pocket LO

This is my continuation of an on-going project.  My son is in Grade 4 this year.  I've been working on creating these pocket pages for him that will hold all his report cards and important papers for the corresponding school year.  At the end of the school year I will create a second page to feature the highlights of his Grade 4 year; the things he accomplished, new things he got to do, fun stuff, ect.

I went ahead and prepared all the circles stamped with the stars and the word "Grade" on them for all the years to come.  Hopefully he doesn't ever have to repeat a grade...  lol    I also cut the corners off of all the sides of the True Fit Folios and corner rounded the edges, so they're all ready to go.  That will make them  quicker to make in the future.  They are all set aside in their own layout container, which I will compile all the layouts until it he's finished school, and then eventually I'll put them into an album when he graduates.

So far it's been a fun project!

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):  Tiny Typewriter Alphabet, Classmate Alphabet, Chocolate Alphabet Small, Believe In Your Dreams, Circle Around stamp sets; You Rock B&Ts; White Daisy, Olive CS; Grey Wool, Black, Olive, Goldrush inks; Outdoor Denim, Sunflower brads; Pewter eyelets; True Fit Folio; DE Simple Numbers; Binding Edge punch (EK Success); 2" circle punch (Fiskars); Circle Coluzzle.

Track Meet Layout

Last year, Cole was involved with a track group at school.  The pics were at their local x-country track meet involving the kids from all the surrounding schools.  I'm still not sure why he decided to join because he has never been a "runner", but I was sure proud of the effort he put into it.  :)

For this layout, I wanted to use a new paper pack called Caboodle.  It's very pastel, which in my mind loans itself to baby, Easter, Spring, or even just girly-type projects, but I just had to challenge myself to "man-it-up" a bit.  So I brought in Outdoor Denim for a background colour and that seemed to tone it down and at least "boy-it-up" enough.

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):  Believe In Your Dreams, Delightful Things, Spot On Backgrounds stamp sets; Caboodle B&Ts; Outdoor Denim, Crystal Blue, Colonial White CS; Outdoor Denim, Sweet Leaf, Crystal Blue, Sorbet inks; Lots of Dots Irresistibles; Colonial White Designer brads; Sweet Leaf ribbon; Sweet Leaf, Crystal Blue, Outdoor Denim buttons; Tiny Tabs; Colonial White brads; Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware frame (SU).

Card for a Friend

The MIL of a friend passed away a little before Christmas.  I made this card for her.

The top patterned paper is random stamped using 4 different stamp sets and colours.

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):  A Tweet, Bee Mine, One of a Kind, Noted Backgrounds, Comforting Thoughts stamp sets; Chocolate, Colonial White, Heavenly Blue CS; Chocolate, Heavenly Blue, Vineyard Berry, Blush inks; Colonial White brads and button; Pewter mini brad; Crystal Blue waxy flax; Prisma Glitter; Clear Embossing powder; Versamark ink; 2" circle punch (Fiskars); 2 1/2" scallop circle punch (Marvy Uchida); circle Coluzzle.

Today, it's all about the Gingerbread

It felt good to do a layout that wasn't for my club workshop. My son got to make his first gingerbread house a couple of weeks ago. He had a lot of fun decorating it. He's also been enjoying the fruits of his labours since then, with the house all disasembled, pieces sitting in a ziploc, mostly eaten now. I had printed out quite a few pics and wanted to use them all, so I ended up with the journaling hiding in behind the hinged photo.

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted): Veranda, Creative Basics Veranda, Jingle B&Ts; Colonial White, Bamboo, Brown Bag CS; Posterboard Alpha, Tiny Typewriter Alpha, Save the Date stamps; Chocolate, Black, Brown Bag inks; Love Letters Chocolate Rub-ons; Colonial white circle metal tag; Chocolate, Cranberry, Colonial White, Garden Green brads; Filigree charm; Olive felt tree; Pewter hinges; Chocolate ribbon; Loop edge punch (Martha Stewart); Tab punch (McGill); Make-up sponge (other).

A Tweet Birthday... Birthday Card Swap

I found a little time yesterday to make a card. This one is for a Birthday Card Swap I joined that's just starting, so this is card #1 of 12 I'll be making throughout the next year. (There may be a couple of spots left to fill, so if you are a CTMH Consultant and want to join, let Sandy Jackson know you're interested.)

This card is going to be sent to a Consultant who's birthday is coming up soon. I'm going to write my inside sentiment to her on a sticky note so she can re-use the card if she wishes to. ;)

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted): Topstitch B&Ts; Colonial White, Blush CS; A Tweet, Delightful Things, Noted Backgrounds, Happy Birthday stamp sets; Heavenly Blue, Chocolate inks; Colonial White crochet ribbon; Heavenly Blue brad, Pewter bitty brad; Circle Coluzzle; Scallop circle die (Nestabilities); Loop edge punch (Martha Stewart); 3D foam tape.

Merry Christmas To ME... new product alert!

Well, I thought I'd post a pic of some of the stuff that came in my order today.  I only took a picture of the new CTMH product for Spring 2010, and set aside the stuff I got that's available in the current Idea Books.  Surprisingly it arrived a day earlier than expected, which is so great considering it's the Christmas rush for delivery companies.  Wow!  I so want to play, but have to go to Lee's company Christmas party tonight.  Gee, do you think he'd notice if I didn't go???  hehe...

Oh, well, maybe tomorrow afternoon after my busy-ness is done.  (I know, busy-ness is not a word...)  Too much running around to do to stay home.  Darn.  Hopefully Lee won't mind that I'll be hiding in my crafting room a lot over Christmas break.  He took this Friday through to January 3rd off work, so he'll be home relaxing.  Lucky duck!  What am I talking about?  I get to do that all the time!  Anyways, I'm glad to see him taking some time off.  :)

Teacher Gift for Christmas

My son has a male teacher this year.  What do you get a guy that you have no idea what his likes/interests are???  I decided to get him a gift card to Blockbuster Video, packaging it up in this stocking, and adding a pack of buttery microwave popcorn.  Hopefully he'll like it.  ;)

To find the stocking template for gift cards, you can find it HERE.

Christmas Countdown Calendar REPOST

I pulled this project out a couple of weeks ago and it still looks as awesome as it did last year when I made it. It's a great daily reminder of how little time is left to get the rest of my Christmas shopping done! You can see my original post HERE for my supplies list.

I've uploaded my photo from last year, so we obviously do not have 41 days left until Christmas... I can hardly believe that we are sitting at 11 days left! Wow, this year is almost done. I'm excited to see what the new year will bring. :)

Wow, I'm fairly happy with how this turned out. I won't go through listing all the items I used (most are in the post below), because there was quite a few.

I just need to add our holiday photos from this year and some hidden journaling inside the circle cards on the inside pages and it really will be complete. If you have any questions, please just ask. :)

My Family Christmas 9x9 Accordion Album... a work in progress.

I'm using quite a hodge-podge of items for my family Christmas 9x9 accordion album. The card is tabbed for ease of opening and I will put a family photo inside of it. We are actually going to be home for Christmas this year, so I'm feeling a little much more festive. :)

So far I've only completed the cover, so I have a lot more to do...
I'll share the complete album once I get it finished.

Supplies used so far (all CTMH unless otherwise noted): Around the Holidays Card Kit; Evensong, Emporium B&Ts; Cranberry, Chocolate, Colonial White CS; Nature's Ambiance, Love Letters, Across the Board Rub-ons; CC self adhesive pearls; Cranberry button; Colonial White waxy flax; Chocolate ribbon - from card kit; 9x9 Accordion Album; Crimper (Fiskars); Double Scallop edge punch (Martha Stewart); Rounded tab punch (SU); 3D foam tape (other).

Birthday card for Elizabeth... (Sneaky Peek)

The sneaky peek I'm referring to is that I used two new CTMH Stamp of the Month sets on this card, which will be coming available in 2010. The cupcakes image is from a set called Piece of Cake, which is a set of 10. The "Have a HAPPY birthday" is from A Little Everything, which is a set of 26.

I seriously can't wait until I get my hot little hands on some of the new papers and products for the new year! But I'll have to wait a little... too bad the warehouse wasn't next door! A girl can dream, can't she??? :)

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted): A Little Everything, Piece of Cake stamp sets; Sweet Home B&Ts; White Daisy, Garnet CS; Black ink; White Diasy flower brads; Buttercup bigger brad; White Daisy crochet flower; Prisma Glitter; Glue pen; Water pen; Embossed scallop edge punch (Martha Stewart); White gel pen (Uniball).

Oops, I see I forgot to mention Chocolate ink in my supplies that I used for the cupcakes...
