Life with U is sweet

My BFF always jokes with me telling me that I'm not a scrapbooker, that I'm a cardmaker.  Yes, I do admit to making a lot of cards... but I've been really feeling the itch to create more layouts lately.  It's just finding the time.  Cards are so much quicker, aren't they?  This layout took me 3 days to create, between kid and work and life.  That's the part I don't like... that I get started and then have to put it aside until time allows me to complete it.  At least this one is complete though, journaling and all!  :)

The photos are from a couple of years ago.  Lee had started working for a different company earlier that year and this was our first time to go to the company Christmas party.  They chartered a plane for the employees and thier wives (and even Cole came with us), and flew us to Calgary where we rented an SUV and drove the rest of the way to Banff, AB.  We stayed at the Banff Springs Hotel, aka the Castle, which was also where the Christmas party is held each year.  Spoiled, or what???  If it makes you feel better, the flight there and back was awful, and I even got the pleasure of holding my son's two full (warm) barf bags on the way home.  Yay me!  lol

We decided not to go to this past year's Christmas party, but we are planning on getting away from house building this year and go as a mini-break.

Happy creating!  :)

I think your layouts are wonderful! This was one of my favorite paper packs. My friend and I always joke about me being a card maker and her being a scrapbooker and the other not being our specialty.
