Gypsy & Cashmere Sympathy Card

I recently picked up a copy of the new Paper Crafts Die Cutting magazine and was inspired by quite a few cards.

One in particular had solid dark purple circles stamped onto some kraft cardstock that I loved.

I used that card as inspiration for today's card.

Right away I discovered a problem with my being able to line my circles up.  It just wasn't working.

So I took a fresh piece of Cashmere cardstock, my ruler, and my Silver Metallic marker and drew grid lines an inch apart.

That made it way easier to line up my circles.  Ha, but don't look too closely...

After stamping my circles, I then decided to add a criss-cross grid with my Gold Metallic marker.

At each intersecting grid line, I added a drop of Silver Glitz Glitter Gel for some added sparkle and interest.

The only other point of mention is the flower stamp.  I inked it up with Gypsy ink, then sponged some Cotton Candy ink in the center, before stamping the image onto Colonial White cardstock.  I added a little Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel over the pink, but it seemed to make the ink bleed a little, so I'm thinking it would have looked better if I just left that off.

Oh well.  If it really bugs me, I can always stamp and cut out another flower and replace it, right?

Happy creating!  :)

A wonderful design with so many amazing details! Sounds like you really worked hard to get this one made, but the result is fabulous! Is it possible the ink was still wet in the middle and that caused the bleeding? I'm not sure the composition of the the Glitter Gel, though, so it could just be that it has too much water in it...
Anyway, thanks for sharing along beautiful card!
