I took a break from making Christmas cards for a moment (or two) to play with a cute new stamp set from the CTMH Holidays from the Heart Gift Guide mini. It is called Lifting Spirits and is orderable from this mini until December 31st.
This card has lots of different stuff going on. So let's take a look at what I did.
I stamped the left side of my card base with Pear ink and a stamp from a past special stamp set called It's Your Day.
I used a spray pen and filled it with water and a couple drops of Lagoon re-inker, then lightly spritzed a
3 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of White Daisy cardstock. To help dry it faster, I used my craft heater to basically blow it dry.
I stamped the hot air balloon and clouds with Slate ink onto the dried paper and set it aside.
Then I stamped the images with Slate ink onto a scrap piece of Colonial White cardstock, and colored them with my Prisma coloring pencils, using Gamsol (odorless paint thinner) and a craft nib to blend the colors. After I was done coloring, I cut them out with my scissors.
To adhere the pieces, I used a piece of 3D foam tape on the back in the center, and used liquid glue for the edges. So when they were adhered, they reminded me of puffy stickers from my childhood.
Gee, is that a new technique? Odds are, likely not... lol
I tried to get a photo of them to show you, but I couldn't quite capture how it looks in person.
It's pretty cool.
I simply adhered the sentiment banner with 3D foam tape, letting it "float".
Happy creating! :)

LOVE the idea of popping the image then adhering the edges...might have to give this a try!! Thanks for sharing the idea!
