Golden Christmas

Colors inspired by some packaging this Christmas, I created a couple of Christmas cards using gold embossing powder and some washi tape.

This one is pretty straight forward.  I used a striped mask and sponged on some Versamark ink onto Black cardstock, sprinkled with gold embossing powder, and heat set it for the gold striped base.

I inked the wreath in black ink, and the berries and bow in Versamark and used gold embossing powder.

Pop dotted the circle and the banner.

This one has a few more tricks, though not much.  ;)

I first covered a piece of Colonial White cardstock with Gold dot washi tape.

Added some Black Shimmer Trim and a strip of Tan Glitter paper on top of the striped grosgrain ribbon.

The sentiment was embossed with Gold embossing powder on Black cardstock.

Added the punched snowflakes and some adhesive backed Gold Sequins to their centers.

Happy creating!  :)

Vicki, these are GORGEOUS! I don't know why I never think about black and gold, but it's such a striking combination. Love the polka dots and snowflakes!

These are STUNNING! I too don't think about using gold and black. I just found 3 pieces of 12x12 gold shimmer cardstock that I got somewhere, and never think to use it! These cards will inspire me to go gold (and black).... Your things are always unique and different.

I had to check twice to be sure the Let it Snow stamp was the same one I had. It looks so different in the black and gold combo. Fantastic...and I never realized the Washi tape lined up so well. You are such an inspiration!!
