Watercolor Flower Birthday Card

Here is a little bit of a spoiler...

The new Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog will be available on April 1st, and I used a few of the new products on this card.

I embossed the flower image from Wavy Blooms with white embossing powder on a piece of watercolor paper.

Then I pulled out my old waterbrush to "paint" the inks onto the flower.  I used a little Glacier ink around the flower and blended it out, but it is pretty light and hard to see in the photo.

Once the paper was dry, I used my paper trimmer to trim the watercolor paper closer to the flower, and then trimmed around it with my scissors.

Happy creating!  :-)

Supplies used are all CTMH (unless otherwise noted):
Paper:  Blossom; Watercolor Paper (other)
Stamps:  Wavy Blooms, Blossom WOTG Cardmaking Set
Inks:  Sunset, Smoothie, Pear, Glacier, Versamark
Embellishments:  Aqua Dots, Sunset ribbon - retired
Other:  Waterbrush - retired, White and Black embossing powders, 3D foam tape, micro-tip scissors

Great card, Vicki! I like how the beautifully colored flower extends over the front panel.

Love it! I was just playing with this stamp set with a new coloring technique last weekend. I'll be posting the results soon. Great minds think alike! ;)

Gorgeous! I'm glad you mentioned the glacier, it made me look more closely! I love the effect!! And the way you trimmed it out straight in parts and with the flower falling off the rectangle, pure genius! I will be trying that one Vicki! Hugs!
