Lee's Masculine Birthday Card

What a busy month I have had.  Unfortunately it left me with no time to create or share anything with you for way too long.

I am forced to be home all day today with my vehicle in the shop for the day, so I am taking advantage of the free time!

Lee celebrated his 46th birthday last month, so I whipped up a special card for him.

I had ordered some stuff from SU a while ago, and thought one of the masculine papers from the Adventure Bound Paper Stack (6 1/2" x 4 1/2" sheets) would be great for a more manly card.

This card is an odd size, measuring at 7" tall x 4 1/2" wide.

I created this card by cutting the top portion of the patterned paper off at 2 1/8" and adhered it onto my card base.

Then I added the BIRTHDAY die cut letters directly below the patterned paper.

I added the bottom portion of the patterned paper directly below the BIRTHDAY letters, then trimmed the excess off of the bottom.  That way I knew it would fit perfectly.

I created a simple banner for the HAPPY die cut letters and adhered it only on the left edge.

I stamped the criss-cross stitching, then popped the right side of the banner with some 3D foam tape.

Lastly I added a wooden leaf shape.  Done.  Simple and so easy.  Perfect masculine card.

Happy creating!  :)

Stamp:  Stitch Wonder
