It's a new day... and some happy news!

It's amazing what the difference a day can make. As soon as I change the way I view my troubles, my outlook changes too. That is something I see more and more as I get older. Aging is not necessarily a bad thing... it seems to come with so much more perspective on life. I've been able to let things go much quicker than in the past and I can feel the weight literally lift off my shoulders when I let go the stuff that is bothering me or the things I can't change in life, whatever they may be. So today is a new day, with new promise... :)

I do have happy news today... I took first place in the Best Use of Color category on the Scrapbook and Share contest. To see all the winning artwork in each category, you can go to the Scrapbook and Share website. So that's the happy news I had to share. Thanks to all of you who took the time to vote! :)

Wow congrats!! It's always so uplifting when you are recognized for your art :D I'm glad you're feeling better now. I often wish I could change my outlook faster than I do. So many times I think, I've learned this lesson and should be able to get my mind around things, but each time it's like I have to go through the process all over again, lol. I can only hope that each time I can go through it a little faster :D And it looks like you already got it, but I also gave you the lemonade stand award ^_~

WTG Vicki! I was just coming over to congratulate you! I'm so glad you have something happy to celebrate today. As for your templates and CTMH, I really don't understand it? If you go to say, ebay, ppl are selling things on there that shouldn't be (BN stamps etc). You're selling your own personal templates. I love your work and I am always inspired. I just wanted you to know that. Keep inspiring!!!

Congratulations Vicki. I'm so glad that this day is better. As I have gotten older, I too, see things differently. I read something a while back that has stuck with me. It goes something like this. You can't change the way people will react to you, but you can change your attitude and how you will react.

I'm behind on reading favorite blogs and noticed the contest AFTER the voting had ended. I had looked over the competition, and HOPED that your would win. It truly was in the right category to be a perfect example of the Best Use of Color.

I remember when I first saw this layout: and bookmarked your site.

You are incredibly talented and have a great eye for detail and color.

Mostly a lurker...coming out of lurkdom to tell you: CONGRATULATIONS!
(and your opening remarks today are just what I needed to get my mind in the right spot to start the day!)

Congratulations Vicki, I'm so happy you won. I've always loved that layout and all of your work. Personally, I don't see where selling your templates would violate any rules. It is your design and we don't sell templates. I would have purchased one. It is sad when someone thinks they know it all and goes on a spiteful rules enforcement rant. If she had a problem with what she thought was a rules violation she should have contacted CORP. instead of using the boards. You mentioned you contacted Corp. before putting your templates for sale and was told it was okay. There is nothing in the rules that specifically mentions templates. So, it is a gray area. It is obvious she wanted attention for some reason. I hope that Corp. will review this and allow consultants to sell their templates as long as they don't promote it on their ctmh website. I'm happy that you have decided to stay with ctmh. It would be sad to lose someone so talented.
