Life... sometimes it just gets in the way of my creativity! I have so many things running through my mind that I want, no need to get created and out of my head. But life puts it on hold for relatively little increments of time.
What's keeping me so busy? My twin daughters are in the process of moving into their first apartment together. So I've been busy with that. Lee (the girls' step-dad) helped me move the big stuff on Sunday and we've been picking away at it since then. They have to buy pretty much everything because all they really have are their twin beds, so we've been shopping a lot, hauling and building and putting together and setting up... and I'm tired.
We have a lot more to do... they still need to finish up all their piles of laundry and buy groceries and they have to go through every inch of "stuff" to see whether they are keeping it or letting it go. It's a big job, coupled by the fact that they are both visually impaired. So I feel like I'm doing a lot of the work. But that's okay. I'm a Mom, that's what I do.
We are off to buy a sofa today that we picked out yesterday, coffee tables and some other odds-n-ends. More to build, more to put away and find a home for. Did I mention I'm tired? I think I'm fighting a bug or something because I'm feeling so tired. I'm also a little emotional... it's a big step for them, and to let them out (or push them out - lol) of the nest is a big deal. Those of you who have already gone through this stage with your kids may understand.
I have a lot of mobility training to do with them so they can get around and know how to do what they need to do. It's the day-to-day stuff that we do so easily, but they will have to learn and I have to figure out how to adapt things to suit their needs. Online banking will hopefully be very helpful, but we'll see.
Anyways, I thought I'd drop a quick, albeit rambling note, to let you all know I'm still around... just very busy... ;)

Wowie, I'm tired just reading your post. You sound very busy! How exciting for your girls. My boys are only 9 & 6, so it will be awhile before that step. I'm sure I'll be both happy and sad when that day comes. Take care of yourself so you don't come down with a bug.
I had wondered where you'd been! Hopefully your craziness will be done soon enough and you'll be able to be all sorts of creative and bless us all with your skill! :O)
Oh my! I had no idea you had to two girls! You are inspiration and such an awesome mom to have so much patience and love! Best of luck to your girls...what an exciting time!
Hang in there Vicki... my eldest daughter is leaving for college very soon as well.. in residence so not as difficult to move . It takes so much extra planning and time. I hope they are close enough that you can visit a bit!
Exhausting is the only way to describe it! Good luck to your girls, this must be an exciting and scary time for them. I hope they won't be far so you still have them close enough not to miss them terribly. My older two kids went away to college and it was tough. Thank goodness for cell phones and internet.
Just wanted to let you know I received your package yesterday - Thank you! I love it :) and I've already created 4 cards based on your card design :) woo hoo
You da best!
*inky hugs*

I am both inspired and exhausted after reading your post. Just wanted to say you are giving me a big boost. Funny how those things happen. My son is visually impaired as I mentioned to you in a prev email about the PacMate. He is 17 and will be a senior in high school. College is just around the corner. It is wonderful to hear you say mobility, apartment, couch shopping and laundry. Wow keep good notes and pass them on to me I will need all the tips you have! Good luck hope you get to rest soon.
