Rockstar card

Just playing with my new You Rock stamp set... I had made one of these stair-step cards before at an SU card class, but this is my first time designing my own. I switched the measurements to allow for a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4" card as opposed to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" card because I needed the height for the guitar. The new Daydream paper pack wasn't my favorite from the new Spring CTMH Idea Book, but I'm amazed at how often I'm using it for cards! It's a pack full of fun prints.

What I used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
You Rock SS
Shining Star SS
Wish Upon a Star SS
Daydream B&T
Black and White Daisy CS
Black, Sweet Leaf, Lilac Mist, Spring Iris, Sorbet and Hollyhock inks
Black marker
Sparkles
Pop-dots (other)
Make-up sponge (other)

I had someone ask the dimensions of the card. It is made with a piece of cardstock measuring 4 1/4 x 10 1/2", scored at 1 3/8", 2 1/2", 4 3/8", 6" and 8 1/4". When folded for mailing, it measures (with my guitar on it) approx. 5 1/2" tall by 4 1/4" wide. Here's a picture so you can see how it fits.

In case you're interested, here's the dimensions to make the stair-step card pattern lengthwise (this will still fit into a standard A2 envelope), so it will be a little wider, but you have to keep your total height (when folded up) to 4 1/4":

5 1/2 x 10 1/2", scored at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 4 1/4", 6" and 8 1/2", folded accordian style.

I love this card Vicki! I may have to duplicate one for myself. I just received the Rockstar stamp on Monday. I've always liked these stair step cards, but your's in one of the best I've seen (of course).

I was wondering where you would write to someone on a card like this? On the back?

TFS!

Hey, Kandi! Although I haven't done it yet, I will put a piece of white CS across the back panel for writing on. ;o)
